Accessing those hidden levels turned out to be not that hard. I also recorded some footage for my channel :P

Shall I add a tutorial on how to enter the hidden levels?

I found out the code for the hidden breakout mini-game in the prototype :3

I encountered a glitch while playing Rayman Advance where the lead instruments of the game will stop playin and only the backround music in that song will play . And going into another level or pausing the game it didn't fix it so I had to reset the game to et the lead music to start playin again, and I recorded some footage of this glitch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJfJRIb ... e=youtu.be

Hm, that seems like an emulator glitch, not an issue with the game, though, especially considering that other people haven't experienced an issue like that (aside from channels cutting out for a second or two).

This is an emulator-keycombination.... You can choose the key Konfiguration in the emulator, in my emu I use the numpad to change the music channels :P ...you also can make the different layers off the graphics invisible :3....

I did not disable any of the music channels and here is more evidence.

So I was up to seriously messing with Rayman Advance as usual, and during one recording Rayman went to run down a slope but then he slid forward doing the handstand foot-kick animation repeatedly before getting stuck at a nearby platform.

I thought that animation wasn't in Rayman Advance at all?

Lol! Well isn't that bizarre.

Also, what's with the purple pillar in the background?

The bright pink/purple pillar is a result of the corruption, it's part of the background actually being transparent. (When the background layer is disabled, there is just that colour underneath)

And I actually have video footage of this odd incident! I will upload it later.

Interesting glitch out there, but I think that frame is briefly seen when Rayman ducks.

Yeah but nah, it wasn't just the single frame, it was the actual animation of Rayman kicking his feet like in the breakout minigame. It wasn't used at all in Rayman Advance if memory serves me right, so I don't know why the animation is still hidden in the game. Was it just not deleted during the porting to GBA? I don't know how porting works to be honest.

Windows Live Movie Maker messed up the framerate and made weird stuttering so the video doesn't look as good as the actual recording :/

The animations are just instructions on how to move the sprites, which are stored in quite a complicated kind of database in the game files. I would imagine that trying to take out a few simple animation states would cause quite a bit of hassle, and such things don't take up much space anyway.

Ah, I figured that was the case.

Also, I wanna point out the sound effect at 0:17 of the video. The one after the Tarayzan yodel. Where is that sound effect from? I have heard it a few times during my corruptions but I don't remember where it is originally from in the game.

I believe it plays when you kill a stone dog.

Hm, no, I just checked and that's not it. The one that plays when a stone dog is killed is more like pyoowup and less like ERHAHERYUHAHO :O

Oh, that lower-pitched Tarayzan’s “yodel”, as you call it?

It is a yodel, or a part thereof, actually! :P I heard it on a Goofy cartoon about skiing in Switzerland recently! Makes me wonder how old a lot of these stock SFX are.
