< has heard of them, but < has never watched them 'til now.
< just read the finale to Brawl in the Family, < thinks it's a poignant end.

Oh, that sounds like good stuff! Could you share it with < when ^'s done with it?Adsolution wrote:<'s counterpoint homework isn't too hard, but it's brainwracking trying to come up with the perfect progression, since you're marked on both doing the right thing as well as creativity, and when you're under a time-limit, that's scary.
And remember: when pressure is applied, results are usually high-end! (especially when plaster's involved)

< has finally got the 6th cage in the Twilight Gulch! Damage boosting (taking damage in mid-air) helps a little.

< sees the technical preview for WinX is now available, < will probably install to a VM.
Re: The You Game!
< has also been applying to many jobs.
What if all the jobs want <? Will each company have a representative to fight a "To the Death" battle over < in order to win < as their employee?
< hopes so.

Re: The You Game!
< wonders if WinX is an official term or not and cbb finding out.
< shares ^'s hope for Brad.
< knows what it's like to have broken and working versions of the same machine. < thinks it's quite a dirty feeling for some reason. < had a ZX Spectrum that broke, so < bought a new one, which then overheated from being plugged in too long.

Re: The You Game!
Afaik Win X isn't official, < is just lazy.
< had to boot <'s laptop into its BIOS to enable Intel's Virtualisation, it's a bit fiddly with Win 8, as you have to boot via the PC Settings in Windows, you can't just push a button on normal boot.

Re: The You Game!
< discovered that VMs are supremely inferior to dualboot and will attempt to transmorphify <'s VM into a dual boot machine once < has arranged some necessary preparations.

Hmm, < hasn't dabbled in dual-boots ever, < probably would be more comfortable doing it on a tower than laptop, mind you.

Re: The You Game!
< hates dual-boot and has gone VM/emulation all the way, despite the performance penalties.

Re: The You Game!
< has got a VM with a 64bit version of the Win X Preview up and running, < likes the new start menu, but it could do with larger text. < also sees that they've got a search button next to the start button. It seems to be a sort of Windows equivalent to the Spotlight feature in Mac OSX, from what < can fathom.

Re: The You Game!
< realises that WinX will be the first "major" revision of Windows that < won't personally get in any shape, form or fashion, since 95. < finds this somewhat bittersweet.

^ is a Linux mainstay, eh?
< has dabbled with Linux in the past, but < hasn't really desired to switch over at present. < thinks <'s being weaned on Windows has caused < to stick a bit too close to it.

< took a long time to make the full switch, but in 2012 < finally managed to relegate Windows to very special uses, which have further dwindled since Valve finally ported Steam and the Source SDK.

Re: The You Game!
That's pretty much <'s experience. < only uses Windows now for Uni work (Word, Excel...) and the one fringe case where Maya APEX plugin 2015 isn't quite supported yet so < has to resort to using a stand-alone that's only available in .exe format. And games, like Rayman games.PluMGMK wrote:< took a long time to make the full switch, but in 2012 < finally managed to relegate Windows to very special uses
