< thought it was awesome, it did everything < hoped it would and more.

< finds it extremely annoying when people constantly shove the "Family Guy sucks" shit down others' throats, it's obnoxious. It's probably one of the most common things to hate on for no reason.

Did ^ not catch <'s emoticon at the end?
Even though < doesn't like Family Guy a whole ton, <'m not one who forcefully shoves <'s opinions.
And if it seems like < is, it's probably in a joking manner.
< is probably taking this out of proportion, but < is too lazy to care atm.

< is going to watch it hopefully soon.
< has been wanting to watch a shit ton of the Simpsons, ever since that "Every Simpsons Ever" marathon.

All < had to do when < had a preview of Windows 8 was just run a VMware machine on <'s laptop. Which did incredibly well, boot times off the HDD storage were rather incredible.

< can say that virtual machines are not so inferior as ^ claims. In fact it's been pretty powerful, and getting even more powerful. < has a friend that runs VMs a LOT with various systems and servers with success. Of course, he has the hardware capable for it.

Even today, newer hardware support for VMs allow for direct hardware access to multiple GPUs and such. Pretty amazing stuff.

Yes < hates Family Guy because everyone else hates it. No, I hate it because I find the jokes to be tasteless, annoying and unfunny. If you like it, cool, but people have different opinions, and some people may not like the show. People have very valid reasons to hate it. Even really talented animators like Oney dislike it for the same reason. People have different preferences in humor, that's the end of it. I think there are very valid reasons to dislike the show. I feel like I'm missing something here and you could've explained it better because I'm reading this as "It's so common to hate Family Guy for no reason." I just gave you a reason why I disliked it, so I hope that's reason enough. Majority of the people who hate it, have a different preference in humor, to my knowledge, and I'm sure most people who hate it don't like it for the re-used jokes and constant flashbacks (youtube/newgrounds animators especially). BRB gonna start animating with Goanimate and make a fortune off a cartoon comedy.

Sorry < went out of you game mode for a sec but that really confused me.

Well, < does enjoy FG a bit, but < has to dose it. After a while, Peter's personality and the whole way he deals with situations gets on <'s nerves. < thinks Peter ruins the show for all the other characters in some episodes, which is interesting considering it's supposed to revolve around him.
< thinks most of the season 1 episodes are godsends - SO funny - and there's some gems in there, but overall, the show hits mediocre on my scale of enjoyment.

American Dad, however...

< found that <'s VM isn't capable of assigning its virtual memory more than 256 MB of RAM (forgot the term, but not RAM) realistically, and that the program isn't capable of tuning into the host system's actual graphics card but instead has to emulate one. <'s surprised that Maya was even able to run at all considering the Windows8 system only had 128 mebs at the time!

That was the case when < tried Win8 on <'s old Laptop, as it was the 32bit version. < got the 64bit version of WinX's Preview, and < was told by the VM to turn on the virtualisation in order to run it.

Since it's now October, Don't Hug Me I'm Scared 3 will be out soon. When that happens, it is likely that < will slip back into <'s DHMIS phase, unless something exciting enough can occur within the Rayman community so that both sides can indefinitely compete for <'s affection. But no matter what phase < is in, Rayman always holds a special place in <'s heart and will always be <'s 'backup phase' when < has lost interest in all else.

< thinks that ^ misinterpreted the 'no reason' part of <'s post. 'Hate on', what < said, usually refers to being vocal, such as someone having a tendency to come back to it time and time again after their opinion has been established for the purpose of mocking it, or one side circle-jerking eachother for no actual productive reason, only to ensure their opinion will never be forgotten, as if for some reason to make the other person feel guilty or more in the wrong for enjoying the thing being hated on.

Great, then those who dislike it can leave people to what they enjoy. If a disliker really wants their opinion to be heard in a way that offers us a fresh, educational and enlightening point of view we likely hadn't considered before, then alright, there's nothing wrong with that. If these jabs at the show being 'bad' are meant to be taken sarcastically, consider how often it occurs. Contrary to someone like Justin Bieber, there's no unanimously-shared disdain towards it, so the dislikers get a strong sense of empowerment and feel as if there's some 'battle' to be won and let themselves be heard at all times for no just cause - you can't really deny this, because if it were solely for the sake of humour, it wouldn't be getting hammered on to the degree that it does by so many.

It happens so often, < usually avoids mentioning anything about Family Guy on this forum and most other places that seem to have a bit of that 'elitist flavour' attitude because < knows the people who aren't a fan of it are going to make some trite, annoying-ass remark that's been made a trillion times before, and for absolutely no reason other than to asset that they, as an independent human being, do not like the show. That's nice. They wouldn't have any business re-explaining their viewpoint to me every time it comes up if they weren't trying to convince me of something.

< doesn't think everything that comes out of that show is funny, < actually found the last season to be very mediocre, despite finding the season before it to be pretty great. Was it 'hatable' though? Is anything about Family Guy worthy if your 'hate'? Hell no, it's harmless.

< says that you generally do assign a portion of real physical RAM to a virtual machine. < has assigned 4GB to Windows 8 before. Though you are limited to the amount of free RAM on your system.

< finds it odd that it was disabled, but < guesses it's dependent on manufactures preferences on default settings. < bets that Mastré could have fun with virtual machines for various operating systems.

< gave the thing 6 gigs, but tried some more as well. However, some programs simply refuse to run because the 'video card is too low of a quality' - i.e. it simply won't run particular games because it has a 128-256 meg videocard. And these are games from 2000. Eh!
