Re: Word chain.
Though you may think so, it's unlikely since Halloween is over, no?
Re: Word chain.
No, HALLOWEEN is infinite.

Re: Word chain.
Infinite values turn up everywhere, but primary school children are lied to and told "1" or "0" will suffice, as if their puny brains can't handle the word or something.

Something is wrong with me, because apparently I'm a better bowler after drinking a couple of beers.

Circle, any circle, has infinite sides and radii.

Re: Word chain.
Radii? How can circles have infinite radii? And circles have 1 side, not infinite... Either I don't understand, or something's not right i'm sure.
Re: Word chain.
Sure a circle has one side, but what if you turn it over?...
Re: Word chain.
Over on its side may be a bit tricky, dontcha think?

Re: Word chain.
Think of a square, but rounded.
Re: Word chain.
Rounded numbers are quite troublesome.

Re: Word chain.
I care because Roles just so happened to dig up a failed Record Day thread I made, believing it to be a real thread.MrBadGuy wrote:I say nay to rules, I mean who cares?
But if we really want it up then we must impose stricter rules on this thread otherwise it will just become spam nonsense.
Out of Ambi's proposed rules I will only agree on the "sentence must make sense" rule for obvious reasons.
I also want to propose the following :
* The sentence must be a decent length, or rather, the longer the better. I do not want to see anything less than, say, 5 words a sentence because that's just lazy.
* The sentence must continue on from the previous post, sort of like a discussion. So for example :
A: Wouldn't it be nice if we could eat some pie every day?
B: Day in day out, we'd be filled up with pie.
C: Pie is ok but I would much rather have cake.
A: Cake is something I baked last night. It was chocolate flavoured and had flowers.
B: Flowers look really pretty on cakes, I wonder if they where sunflowers?
A: Sunflowers where plentiful on my cake! But daisies even more!
C: More cake in my belly would be great right now
And so forth.
We should all be able to do that right?

Re: Word chain.
Right now I'm thinking if we're having rules, we should atleast disallow speech marks at the end/beggining of sentences as I described earlier, it amkes it more fair. Just a suggestion. Also, are we allowed to add to a word like this?:
A: Hello, what's up?
B: Uprising of the Jellyfish (the new movie) is out today, I'm just having a chinese style dinner and then I'm going to the cinema to watch it
A: Italian dinner for me, carbonara is the best.
Etc.
I think it'd make it more fun.

Re: Word chain.
Funny, I'd literally just had that idea but dismissed it - it depends on what kind of challenge people want this game to provide.
Alternatively,
Fun can be had either way, perhaps it should be put to a vote.

Re: Word chain.
I have no real issue with that. So are we all good on this new rule thing?Ambidextroid wrote:Right now I'm thinking if we're having rules, we should atleast disallow speech marks at the end/beggining of sentences as I described earlier, it amkes it more fair. Re: Word chain.
Thing is, I won't consider them rules unless stated in the first post!
