< has finally managed to install OS/2 1.0 in VirtualBox on my Mac!

…and in Ubuntu!

However, it was a bitch to install. I had to modify disk 0 (“installation diskette” as the installer calls it) with a hex editor to get it to boot properly. For anyone wondering, this is how I patched it:

- Search for this hex string: B8 F4 01 BB C8 00 F7 E3 F7 F1
(the last two bytes are what’s causing the issues; replace them with 90 90)
