And that's why I disagree with OCG, I don't want Mario to end up being ridiculously milked and end up being a glitch fest. This is why I think Captain Toad is not a big deal, I still have no idea why people are hyping it up, it's literally 3D World DLC in a full package. These yearly Mario games, unless they give us a full on 3D Mario game like Galaxy, need to stop. 3D World was good but not special compared to Galaxy. And also TV Party was bad, can't say much about Rabbids go Home but after Raving Rabbids 1 and 2, two decent party games, the series hit worse then mediocrity.

Why the hell is it everyone really wants a new Rayman title already? I'd love to see one but it seems a bit too soon, in fact I really want Beyond Good and Evil 2 from Mr. Ancel instead.

Yearly releases tend to require a lot of amount of work and manpower to finish in time anyways, and I fear that imposing such a regime on the Montpellier team would make them lose their own spirit in the process, I'd rather Rayman games were made with passion and care, not manufactured.

@Master I second your opinion.

@Rayfist 2016 is still distant so I hope I did not sound like "I want it next month". And when I say 2016 it could have been 2018 for example.

Concerning Rabbids Go Home, it is an ok game with an interesting gameplay but there is a big issue: it is too repetitive. All the levels end like this and collecting junk ends up tedious (and somehow impossible to perfect them because it happened to me looking everywhere to collect all junk possible and then I finish the level with like 997 collected objects and 3 missing ones where I have no idea where they got forgotten). I also heard rumours before that it is impossible without hacking to reach the real final level of the game.

I guess release date gap between Origins and Legends spoiled me and now I expect every Rayman game to be released like that :P
Considering that Ancel is busy with Wild, I predict a huge BG&E2 delay. For Rayman, they must not let anyone from Assassin's Creed work on the game.

If I was given a choice between Rayman S'more (working title) and BGE2 coming first, I would definitely pick the latter. I am sooo ripe for more French interstellar funtimes. Rayman at least has 5 main series titles and a few good side-games - I still play R3 GBA ocassionally. It's not as if we're starving like we were 5 years ago.

THAT SAID I'd rather be left with great memories of the original than have them tarnished by a Development Hell'd sequel starring skinless focus group 'too expensive to animate' bikini Jade or whatever.

EDIT: Also, WiLD is the stuff of my dreams and I would put all games on hold for the chance to play as a chevrotain. All.

We should just be ridiculously thankful Rayman isn't falling into the same category as other Ubisoft titles currently, they are plagued with glitches, an over abundance of micro-transactions, any many more stuff that a lot of us do not want.

I think team making Rayman games is not same one who handles other titles.

Well, yeah. The UbiArt games were made by the UbiSoft Montpellier, UbiSoft owns plenty of studios besides them. UbiSoft Montreal, Paris, Quebec, Singapore and so on.

OH REALLY? No but seriously, I think we all knew that. I'm saying at least Rayman games aren't rushed, since Ubi calls the shots to what happens.

Rayman is missing enough body parts as it is so he can't afford to not have a face!!!

Joking about ACU's face glitches aside the Facebook post should have been taken with a grain of salt but you know what the "WE WANT RAYMAN 4" crowd are like.

Not let anyone from AC dev team work on the game since they would probably rush it give little to no improvement.

I wouldn't single them out for that, I don't know how game studios work, but I highly doubt it falls solely on an individual developer or their team to make such calls. It could very well be that they're merely strained from having to work in such small time, in which case it'd be the fault of management.

As it stands, we know something's gone wrong with the AC machine, as it were, given how badly Unity has been for many, but the AC series as a whole has had some well received titles, as it stands, we can't really say for certain who is at fault, we can only speculate.

Considering how well the AC franchise has sold, I wouldn't be surprised if it was Ubi rushing for release towards Christmas. Though it's all just speculation, this is the most "believable" case.

I don't think you understand how anything works. The higher-ups are the ones who make those decisions, not the hard developers. To pin it on the hard developers, especially those which are probably some of the most skilled and talented in the industry (and thinking that having them touch your game will fuck it up), is insulting.

I'm not sure if I have posted about B&E, but I played the demo of the HD version in my PS3. I have to say it's very interesting, and quite of awesome. I always hated it because of the alternative future of Rayman, since R3 was not developed by Michel Ancel, instead of him there was another guy.

BG&E is a great game. It is just a shame it was not commercially successful.

The way I understand it, the BG&E team had most of the talent of the R2 team in it, while the R3 team had the other part. While I'd drool (well, I am Droolie for a reason!) at the news of BG&E2, I'd be extremely happy with any game from that team, really. It seems that part of that group is now developing WiLD, so that's looking really interesting. As for their work at Ubisoft, I wonder if they will ever go back to the Rayman franchise after BG&E2.

Excited as I am by WiLD, projects like that seem very risky. Creating something the "size of Europe" while still maintaining interactive quality AND keeping up with technological developments with such a small team? The PS4's only got another few years to it. I feel I must be overestimating what they want to do with the game, but the trailer makes it look so full (of course)...

WiLD will take a while. BG&E2 has technically already begun but by the time they return to it any assets will need to be remade. I don't know, apart from Ancel I think Ubi will probably have established another team for taking Rayman forward by that time.

Ubisoft said a few month ago that they will stop developping games on PS3 and Xbox 360 after 2015, to focus on the new-gen.

Well I'll stick to PC then because I won't buy a next gen console
