I impulsively downloaded Rayman Optimum, but I can't get it to work. Can someone walk me through re-installing it?

Well let's see... Right now I have 5 programs in a folder:

• Mapper.
• Rayman 60 Levels
• Rayman by his Fans
• Rayman Designer
• Rayman

The Mapper seems to open fine, but for the other programs the same thing happens every time: Dosbox starts up, goes full screen, and then gives me the message "Illegal command: Start".

Also, does anyone know how to stop dosbox from going full screen all the time?

You can turn off Fullscreen Mode in your Configurations. Have you ran the executives as administrator?

And what Configurations are you talking about? From the game or from Dosbox? If you mean Dosbox, fullscreen=false in dosbox configuration file. So it shouldn't go full screen, right?

The only problem I'm having with the game itself right now is that it's stuttering when I move Rayman. But maybe there's a setting for that as well?

Try using the original preset by clicking on that button. If that's not working try turning VSync Off or just try to play with the settings.

how do i change the refresh rate because when rayman gets hurt the flicker time makes him look invisible


edit- changed the forcerate to 60hz in the dosbox.conf file. idk if that fixes it.

If you disabled VSync, framerate is fully unlocked. To control it, enable VSync (force if your video drivers already have settings for it), and change its rate to control FPS. For best results try to put the same refresh rate your screen monitor's.
