Now think of it as masturbation with a never-ending climax. :paranormal:

Let me just clarify this is the first person I have ever liked. Ever since 6th grade. She is, in fact, within my friend circle. I have turned a few peole down who have asked me out, just because I love her and only her. I'm not obsessed, though. I don't stalk her on facebook or anything like that. I just admire her, no fantasizing included.

Hey I'm not the one who initiates these kinds of conversations, but I know damn well how to finish them. Heh finish.
iHeckler9 wrote:i don't know whether to upload it or not.
That's entirely up to you. I know I appreciate 'OST' uploads from games and series or films, because they're sometimes hard to find from the true source. They're gems that make my YouTube music playlists shine.

HOWEVER. I do not condone making money off of these uploads. They're in no way your work and you should not be earning off of someone else's creations unless you did something really creative with them that make them your own, unique version of them.

But that's just how I stand in the matter. Feel free to ask anyone, really. You probably already know most of our opinions on this matter, if you've followed last couple of weeks' arguements.

A while ago I bought a game's soundtrack and since it isn't on YouTube, I thought I'd put it there. It's been a few months and I still haven't done anything about it yet cos it might be illegal. I might get a buttload of subscribers and views from it but I'm still unsure. Asking around doesn't seem to be helping but I thought I'd try again. What do I do?
Video game soundtracks are always safe on YouTube. Not even Nintendo flags Soundtracks from their games. It's gameplay that they hate uploaded. I highly suggest you upload it

Yeah, I'm going to second Shroob, Kechler. Go ahead, but don't monetise.

McMelonLord, obsession doesn't just mean creepy behavior or stalking. It can take weaker, more subtle forms. If you've loved this girl for so long (I guess about 8 years? Not entirely sure about the grade-year system) and not been able to love other people in the meantime, I'd say there's a degree if obsession in that

But no matter how long you've been waiting, if she doesn't reciprocate there is no point feeding a love that goes unrequited. Perhaps it feels like there's no one like her - that's correct. She's a unique and wonderful human being. It might be difficult to feel that same intensity for other human beings, but what you might find with them can be just as fulfilling - scratch that, more fulfilling - than bleeding love like you are now. It's important to love and lose and make up and break up at our age, to learn what we need and what is bad for us, to find our own boundaries and our own strength.

Of course, these are all type-words on your screen. It's rich for me to say all this when you're the one feeling the love and the pain. I know you can't just 'switch off' love, though I've certainly tried(!) - but I'm sure you can find a way to grow away from it.

My first love was very similar. I was in love with her for a couple of years and I experienced aspects of myself I had no idea anyone could have due to my strong feelings for her. One day I hope I can feel them again for someone new.

It all basically ended when I asked her out and she said 'no, I never even liked you in the first place but didn't know how to tell you'. That was a bit of strong heart-breaker and in the end I guess I blame her for not letting me down sooner. But I also blame myself for having acted so foolish and investing so long in that girl that clearly wasn't going to enjoy me like I enjoyed her. There is a good time to be foolish! I believe that time to be ... always! As long as you realise you have been and that you better yourself for your own sake and that of others to come after.

I know you can't stand it when people say there will be another girl. But I'm gonna have to go ahead and say it anyway. There will be another girl. Just give her and yourself the chance to meet each other... give yourself another chance, mate. I know you're having a hard time doing it, but just do it. Instead of regretting what could-have-beens and would-dos you have, look forward to the will-bes of future loves!

@Candish
Well technically, most OST can be monetized and they do not get scanned through Content ID for some reason. Seems like they are not in database since most companies leave visual and not audio data in Content ID video game wise. Non video game music in most cases cannot be monetized. But for example, from my whole Super Smash Bros 3DS OST, Only Mario Kart and Pikmin cannot be monetized since it matched third party content.

Reminds me of my own first love, as I (more or less) secretly loved a girl who had been in my class for the major part of the middle school. I never had the courage of asking her, and eventually I detached myself from this kind of obsession as I realised she wasn't really my type.

I've always been shy to ask girls if they loved me or not, mainly because I wasn't very attractive back in those days. I've had only a handful of relationships (or attempts), and my current relation is only the second one...but it's already the longest: I have been with my girlfriend for two years already.

I'll add the practical advice to the mix, I would say: love is not always coming with the first attempt. It must be coming from both side: if the other doesn't love you, it's pointless for you to keep on looking after him/her. It will only hurt you more in the future. Okay, it's not as easy as it seems, but "most" of the time, it works that way: love is mainly about sharing, caring, and telling the truth. If those are not here, there is only a very unbalanced affection which will, eventually, cause pain to somebody.

You should probably ask her once and for all, and not forget to justify why you did so, so you can maintain your friendship if she says no: if she's not nice to you after that even if you tried to explain how you felt and told her the truth, then sh's not worth the friendship too.

Thats not really yes or no question because everyone is gonna think differently. I can only say how I think and not how it must be done since I am just individual. I personally think that if OST does not get scanned that it should be monetized if uploader is YouTube partner already, but if it is already scanned as third party content then thats just how it is gonna be since disputing it would be false since it does not cover fair use.

Alrighty, I'll upload the regular OST (and not profit), but it came with bonus tracks as well, which are unrippable from the game and were exclusively given out to people who bought the soundtrack. Do I upload them too?

I know all that already, my darling. I just wonder why you raised that point in response to me suggesting that Kechler (Heckler's new and improved name) shouldn't monetise - after all, that fits with my existing position on the matter, does it not?

Kech - hmm. In the sense that they are rare and accordingly hard to source, I would say yes (without profit ofc)... but you must do what you feel is right.

Please do, I want to listen to them, and trust me, I won't reupload them on my channel if you are doubting in me. I might have questionable standards for certain things, but I always keep my word and never lie. When I say I won't, I won't.

So, "feminists" in Australia have succeeded in pulling Grand Theft Auto V off of shelves at both Target & Kmart stores.

Their reason? You can hurt female NPCs and hire prostitutes in the game and that supports female abuse. You can kill make NPCs too but obviously that isn't important to them. And forget that mission where you smash some guy's testicles for torture.
