My first OS was Windows 98, Windows XP comes into second place. Well my third OS.. yeah heh.. you see I kept experimenting with all OSs available at the time. Well let's just say for third place: Windows 98; Windows ME; Windows NT 4.0; Windows 2000 and Windows XP Media Center Edition. (Windows 95 never worked :( )

My current laptop (the one I posted an image of in the Vacation thread) came with Vista, I later upgraded it to 7, good upgrade indeed.

Windows Vista with all the service packs and updates installed is pretty good in comparison to Windows 7. Though I do like how Windows 7 feels more. Even having used Windows 8, I prefer Windows 7.

Meh, I can't remember what SP I was on when I updated, suffice to say, I'm happy I did.

I imagine she was just an intern who was told to moderate a forum about a game series of which she didn't fully understand the appeal. Hardly her fault. She wasn't one of us in any real sense, and while she may not have done a particularly great job, we gave her a harder time than she deserved.

You did? That was a very long time ago... in retrospect it was quite juvenile and a bit more personal than is appropriate. Not something I'd do today. The main thing I remember is tricking Shawn into thinking I was the real deal. That was pretty funny.

I wish I'd joined in 2008, there was so much going on at that point. Plus, it would've allowed me to be a twelve-year-old forumite!

I thank you, someone else, for reinforcing this point.

2008 was the year I joined RPC, but I never dared to go to the official Raymanzone forums even after my 13, which is curious.

I hung about the RZ forums as a kid for quite some time, never going on it though, good thing too, I'd have acted like a right arse, particularly being an Aspie and the like.
Heck, I'd have probably soured moods here aplenty if I joined when I first discovered this place.

I originally didn't go to RZ because I wasn't 13 yet, but even after that, I think I didn't go there because I knew my English needed some improvement. At my 13 I started to frequent my first forums in my native language (but I don't frequent any PT one now for different reasons in each case) but RPC wasn't my first abroad forum.

I did not really use internet that often as a kid because I did not have a proper one and dial up was a big pain.

I was about 8 years old when we first got internet in our house, if memory serves, funny how in this day and age, you get 4 year olds here.

As a kid I wasn't quite an user of the internet either, because back in those days there weren't luxuries like YouTube and even less fast internet and unlimited navigation.

Hm, indeed, though when I joined it was around YouTube's conception.

I've knowingly been browsing the internet since I was around six (2001), though I didn't join anywhere till 2005.

Blimey, back in those days, the internet was the weird thing I saw once or twice at my dad's workplace.

Dial up certainly was a limiting factor, but as a kid I generally browsed Cartoon Network's website and played with some of their little games online. Before the time of Rayman. Which in fact, Rayman 3 was what ended up introducing me to online communities. Started off with the Raymanzone of 2004, but it eventually led me to great communities such as this and onward. :)

What got my curiosity was the game case had a paper in it with a link to Raymanzone itself. I think it was when I found Phoenixan's forum back then, I ended up finding RaymanPC... unless it was the other way around. I don't recall fully.

I've surely been to RZ back in the day but I couldn't really speak basic English until I was eleven or something so I had no idea what the hell any of it was.

I'm quite a bit late to this site, but congratz anyway. It's nice to see that this place is still strong, and there is still such a strong forum presence from Rayman fans!
