Ten years! Happy birthday Pirate-Community!

Ten years. A decade ago, Rayman fans created an independent community to share their passion. In less than two years, it became the largest Rayman community, and grew over time to offer more content and services to the fandom and anyone interested. Its openness and freedom are only matched by the loyalty and dedication of its members, without whom it would be nothing by now.

While last year wasn't the most active we've had, with 89525 messages leading us to a total of 796709, 1853 articles on RayWiki, a figure that has risen by 10%, and many additions to RayTunes, the upcoming release of Rayman Legends is a great event for the community and allows us to imagine a bright future for the series.

Ten years ago, no one would have guessed that Pirate-Community would still be here today. And thanks to you, member or visitor, fan or curious, old-timer or rookie, we have all the reasons to believe that our community will still be here in ten years as well.

Long live Rayman, long live Pirate-Community!

Seriously, props to Hunch, Matyuv and Hoodcom for their hard work, this new theme is pretty awesome.

Happy birthday indeed, thanks for creating this community Humch! Having a place to discuss my love for the Rayman franchise with like minded individuals would probably have never been possible without your efforts, and the members of past and present.

I love this new theme, a job well done to all of you, I do hope you consider having this as a permanent fixture, because I'd love it!

Happy Tenth Anniversary Pirate Community, sadly I never had the motivation to try and finish the planned entry to the contest that I never got finished. But hopefully I'll get some within a few days to the end of the month so I'm not too late.

First of all, this special theme looks fantastic. I applaud to the people involved in its design.

Secondly, it is with great happiness that I see this community turning to the two digits. When I joined RPC (a big big thanks to Clara Knight, who introduced me first to this community and insisted that I had a look to it), this community had just made half a decade of existence. I originally registered myself just to share some nostalgia about this franchise that was part of my childhood but I quickly got too involved on this community for some odd reason that only Polokus might know. The truth is, from most of all the forums I've frequented, I quickly abandoned them for varied reasons: lost of interest of the forum's theme, not welcomed by the community in general, forums that ended up closing, not feeling useful, etc; however, RPC did everything in reverse. It always found ways to keep fans interested in the franchise, it is constantly wanting contributions from the fans of the franchise and above all, it was one of the fewest communities that made me feel welcomed and useful. I don't regret all the devotion I tried to do in name of every Rayman fan in the world, including RPC members of all hierarchies. I also met some cool people through this community that could share good and bad moments with me, and supporting me simultaneously. Thank you everybody.

And for last, but not least, this is a community I hope seeing it living for many more years and I hope I'll still be here to accompaign the crescent growth of this forum and helping in everything I can, even if it is for the smallest things.
