Well yes, that would be awesome. But what I'm saying is that Rayman Origins was meant to be set in the 'origins' of Rayman, and then they changed it...
I know they changed it... i know... i have watched the original video and read the script it was clear to me way before you said; "Rayman Origins was meant to be set in the 'origins' of Rayman, and then they changed it..." four times before soooo i am quite aware of what the definition of "origins" is and about the original time setting of the game.
I also don't appreciate your condescending three dots btw
Sorry, I didn't mean to sound repetative.
What I meant was if they started on said game, would they change that as well

They're the same character. But I preferred him as Polokus by far.

Agreed. I don't know why they had to change him even after they scrapped his other shape shifting forms he had
(so much epic!!)
The best thing about Polokus was how he had distinguishing features like the top hat and long arms he was already badass

I still defend that Polokus can transform into anything he wants. Afterall he looks different in Rayman Origins while its clearly stated that both are the same person.

What appearances do you think he might take in later games?
Also, I think they made it clear enough that with both versions we've currently seen of him, he wasn't in a very good place during the events of R2 but is in a really good place for RO. Even while he was having nightmares he was so much more social and just... silly, in contrast to how quiet, lonely, and mysterious he seemed to be for most of R2.

Maybe a teensie?
That seems to be the rage at the moment.

Yes, I actually really liked that part of Polokus. His voice, how wise and he seemed, and yes how

he seemed

One day in the Glade of Dreams, disaster struck! Suddenly everyone is a teensie and it's up to you to reverse whatever the fuck turned them all into teensies in the first place.
And then you get to the end and there's no telling whether or not you managed to revert everyone back to normal because everything was so vague and up in the air and then the credits roll. It is later revealed in some hidden script that everyone was a teensie from the very beginning and all this time they were playing make believe. Perfection.

I think it was a mistake making Mr Dark as a Teensie, he was much more mysterious and intimidating in R1 design.

How do you know he is a teensie?

Has he been confirmed for a teensie? I think it would have been way better if they had made him his own species. Another one of Polokus' nightmares that proved to be a real threat to the Glade. Having two magician teensies "go bad" (assuming all teensies are "good" by default) doesn't feel as powerful of a story as a mysterious evil being becoming the idol of a teensie who never quite got the hang of magic does.

The real Mr. Dark has yet to be seen, there's nothing supporting or rejecting the notion that he's now a Teensie, as far as I'm aware of, so time will tell...or not.

Well, considering he's at least a little relevant again after Origins, I think it's a safe bet we'll see him (or learn of what became of him) in a future game. After the whole Ales Mansay turning sides I can see other inhabitants of the Glade following his lead eventually with reasons not nearly as good as Ales'. Though, with Rayman I guess we'll never know until it actually happens.

The closest we've seen of Mr. Dark in Origins were these posters:

I genuinely do hope he's brought back at some point, but for now, it appears we'll just have to wait.

In the RO prototype, Mr Dark would return as a Teensie. Knowing that in the final version of the game, Ales and the R1 magician are pottentially the same person, this could mean that Mr Dark was indeed changed to the Teensie form while I honestly wish to be wrong.

We could say that his magic got all screwed up following the events of Rayman 2, what with the Heart of the World breaking and all, causing him to lose his own 'primordial energy' and mkaing his magic do tricks on himself for once - effectively rendering him a Teensie for all eternity.
Or, which is by far my preferred option, the Teensie Magician from Origins is a fanboy of the real Mr Dark.
Slogbait wrote:in contrast to how quiet, lonely, and mysterious he seemed to be for most of R2.
I think that, for the deity named 'the God of Dreams', it is very appropriate that he appears to be absent-minded. He is never fully 'there' until the Four Masks bring him back from a far away place that he was in to control the entirety of reality. Besides, he is a very wise and insightful character by nature - he is all the world and knows all the world for it spawned from his dreams. A more mysterious, silent and wise type is more appealing to me as the god that dreamed reality than an extravert, chirpy, happy hippie chap chilling out in a tree. And that's disregarding my general fondness of hippies!

The Great Polokus of course, now there's that crazy half-brained impostor that drinks intoxicating brews with Eig on Friday nights and then meditates in The Snoring Tree all week long until Friday comes around again. Not to say Bubble Dreamer doesn't have charm, he has grown on me since RO, aside from his utter silliness, he is still deity material. If Bubble Dreamer had Polokus' wisdom and insight, I'd say it's a draw! It's a shame his shape-shifting abilities were scrapped, It would be sheer magic if Polokus could icarnate any form and be able to speak to Rayman throughout the adventure, hey that's great idea for ROTD.

I do believe he means the Bubble Dreamer is another, hippy character who drinks alcohol with Eig, then spends time in the Snoring Tree, not unlike Rayman Origins.
