The entire game uses over 10 large maps. These maps mainly include 3 different worlds, which are the 4 Great Sanctuaries (The Sanctuary of Ancients, Water, Wind, and Fire), the RAYMAN Planet, and the Pirate World (including the prison, bastion machines, and the pirate ship). And yes, that's my main takeaway from this info. How the world was structured is certainly interesting, but fantasizing about Rayman using magical powers to see behind certain walls in the Sanctuaries really makes me feel like the little kid I was who wondered if there were unexplored passages in those mystical places. Ly using spells to immobilize enemies or Polokus using his strange powers to conjure a path for Rayman out of water would be so fun to see, too. (Speaking of which, Polokus uses similar powers in the final game too, as the thing he sits on transforms into a water-like substance when you've collected all of the masks)
I just think these mechanics all seem very cool, and very fitting for Rayman 2.

If the remake that's happening is Rayman 2, I'd really love to see ideas like this added back in. But I have a feeling that Ubisoft wouldn't go that far.

The thing that because Murfy mentioned it in Rayman 3, people have been convinced it's coming out anytime soon for the past 22 years.

Finally got around to playing Revolution and while I love how everything is designed and there's obviously some changes, the only thing that I find jarring is the English voice acting.

Rayman sounds like he could care less about what's happening, the voice doesn't fit the body at all.

I know this probably was Gasman's first "dive" into voice acting for Rayman, and it got better in Rayman 3, but geez, why does he sound like he belongs in an edutainment game than in Revolution...

I'll get used to it, but right now I'm not liking it :'D

If it bothers you too much, you can switch the language from English to Raymanian, and it'll use the gibberish that was used in the other versions of the game.

(I'll spare you my rant on the Echoing Caves xD)

Even beyond that though, the Raymanian in Revolution....maybe it's just me but I swear it sounded a bit different from other versions of Rayman 2. Then again, I haven't played this game for years so perhaps it's time I got a look at this game again (if only I had a real PS2!). :hap:

Nope you're right, they did add some extra gibberish, it's never bothered me much, although truth be told I don't really pay much attention to the spoken dialogue in any language, I just go off the text as it's what I'm used to when it comes to Rayman 2.

I may switch it back if I do another playthrough. Right now this is my first playthrough of Revolution, so... gotta grin and bear it. At least Globox is correctly voiced, though he sounds a bit like Patrick Star XD

Considering he was voiced by Sid the Sloth in Rayman 3, him being Patrick Star-like wouldn't be too much of a stretch xD
