For anyone interested in game dev, < just saw that the Humble Bundle are giving away Fusion 2.5 (and a bunch of games made with it) for $1, and for $15 you can get the developer package which usually costs upwards of £300.
It uses a visual interface to program instead of a code based system, but it's not limited or restrictive in what you can make since it's pretty open and you can create your own plugins and code for it. <'s been using it for a few years now and < recommends anyone try it if they're interested in 2-D game creation.

Family, now < is thinking about it, < shouldn't have gone there, you spend a whole day taking care and everything you got is being yelled at.
In addition that room makes < fucking claustrophobic.
