The Xbox 360 is the first one I played too, then I got hooked on it

The first Rayman Origins version I had was the Wii version.

The first version I had was the Demo on 3DS, then I bought the actual version and hardly played that, then recently I got the GOG version and finished that one. There were a lot of mishaps for me when playing but that was because I was new to the game. Now that I've finished I have to get used to playing through each level. There were some that I just barely scraped through with 350-360 lums/1 sec under time honestly.

I'm currently (finally!) making my way through the Back to Origins sections of Rayman Legends. I'm on the Sea of Serendipity now and I've decided to try doing as much as possible without fast-swimming. It's actually quite challenging, especially in the dark sections (like the one in my signature)! Still, it's nice to slow down, and really take in the Lums' singing and the beautifully detailed (and sometimes terrifying!) ocean world.
Of course, they also banjaxed the order of the levels in BTO, but that's another story.

I still have to play the PC version and I keep putting it off and playing Origins on different platforms
I started playing Legends on my PS4 the other day for about an hour and I think the camera zoom feature is cool for screenshots. Playing it for that hour made me remember that it's also an amazing game and I still have it on PC, PS4, Vita and Wii U if I want to complete it 4 times like a mad eejit

Yeah, I shoulda done that one first. Oh well I can just concentrate on 100%ing those save files first then.
I said this back then, but after playing a few levels, I am glad I did NOT finish this version first. The 3DS version of this game looks like a COMPLETE JOKE. The skull coins give you 15 more lums than normal and the times are set back more than 15 minutes or so. You could literally walk through the entirety of some, maybe all levels and still get the speed trophy. Fair enough if the boundaries were set higher or the difficulty was ramped up, but they didn't do that, instead they dumbed this down. They might as well have called this version "We made this simple cuz you suck at Rayman" Origins.
Edit: I can see now why a lot of people are calling this the worst version.

I have it too, sad times
Seriously though, anyone that played Origins on 3DS and now thinks Origins is a bad game, I highly recommend playing any other port of the game and you'll see how good it really is.
Again this info is valid. Getting over 500 Lums on a level that it's hard to even get 350 on normally and then having 15 seconds more on average on speed trophies which are already easy? Absolutely ridiculous!
I would have said yeah it's a weaker system so the crappy graphics and 30fps with drops was fair enough, but this is taking the piss. Rayman Origins with noob mode activated aka the 3DS version of Rayman Origins. Play ANY other version apart from the 3DS version if anyone wants to play Origins and if you want a handheld version then definitely go with the Vita. It might be 100 times better but it's definitely at least 99 times better

So I was playing Origins again today and I went to rescue Helena Handbasket to get the power to run on walls. To my amazement, I broke the cage and seen Betilla come up on the screen, which lead to me to automatically think "what the fuck!?".
I was given the power to run on walls and it showed the right animation for Rayman, but what the hell did Betilla come up on the screen for?

That's what you get for messing with debug options.

I did put delete that cmdline.txt file to put it back to normal before it happened though. I just wanted to play the game like normal, but I even kept getting stupid glitches last week like the player going into the cage secret and then it would just freeze there and not load the cage section, leaving me to restart the level.
I'd the debug options could have messed up the save then I will delete that second file and start over
But yeah, the game was already acting weird even before I done that.

How come Betilla's sisters all have pun names but not her?

Because her name was thought of fifteen years before the others?

Correct! You have won a microwave oven
Sorry, it just reminded me of classic game shows and the really old prizes people used to win since it was 15 years ago
I'm playing Origins again now and I'm still yet to get bored of the game. I like it that much for some reason. Maybe it's the happy setting

OK so after all the times I have played Origins, I only realised now on Raytunes that on Lum King Solo they're actually singing the music from the Desert Of Dijiridoos world map in the background
EDIT: I apologise for double posting but in my defence they are a week apart, not 2 seconds

When does Rayman Origins take place, I think I recall Michel saying it was "sometime after Rayman 2" but I can't for the life of me find conformation of that.

It's generally accepted as a sequel to Rayman 3.

That's all the Wiki really says in early production is that it was planned to be a prequel with episodes but was delayed and turned into a sequel instead.
I've seen more of these theories myself that the characters are "dumb" because it was supposed to be a prequel and other complaints about the game. I mean yeah, the story and the magician being a Teensie is pretty messed up, but just look at that gameplay and beautiful artwork it possesses
I wouldn't focus on the lore with this game, I'd rather just enjoy the beautiful scenery and how amazing the game is to play.
Edit: Legends is an amazing game too, but really if you think about it, is the story in Legends any better?

I remember when it was going to be a prequel in episodic format. They also gave the impression that it was going to be only on PS3 and Xbox 360, so that's kinda when I lost interest in the series in general, and didn't come back for quite a few years…

I missed out on playing it back then myself. I seen ads on TV for it and let my friend tell me it wasn't a good game then didn't play it until last year. What was I thinking though, Rayman can't be a bad game
But I'm glad I did play it because that's what lead me to love the game so much again and the reason I ended up here
Also, uPlay did give Origins away for free at one stage and I went ahead and bought the GoG version anyway a few months later

I guess this is just a modern Rayman Advance.
I'm exaggerating tough, I believe Advance was made easier because of the reduced line of sight.
