It turns out it's <'s aunt's birthday so the cake we ended up bringing to <'s friend's house wound up as the birthday cake!

< guesses you can be forgiven since the counter went up less than a week in advance – and it was a Sunday!

< still wasn't even sure if < could be here at all, but then < just thought < could try make some time.

< has been learning a piano piece with plenty of runs and as developed some mild tendonitis as a result... < hopes it heals up soon!

< is going back to work on Monday, and < just watched the film adaptation of 1984. The relevance is that the last time < had a week's vacation, < spent the final weekend reading that very novel. Just a funny coincidence

<'s tendonitis has healed up and < is about half way through learning this Bach piece.

Personally, < is doing all right, just a bit sick of working from home…
