Oh dear if ^ found Legends to be more difficult, < can’t help you there.

< just has problems with <‘s hands. < found Mario + Rabbids more enjoyable because of it being acessible to <.

< had a terrible idea for a video game boss fight : Having a cinematic right before the fight where the boss spouts a very long, obtuse and boring speech (a la Metal Gear Solid 4) but in character he is so proud of it that if you skip the cutscene he gets offended, angry and therefore reckless and easier to fight.

< thinks ^’s idea is genuinely good.

< thinks people do that “bad game design” trope so they can look humble about having an actual good idea.

An improvement of ^^’s idea would be having a higher damage stat but attacking less efficiently when reckless, so it offers an alternate way of fighting the boss rather than making it a breeze.

Only if it's integrated in a game that is designed to let you mess with its structure.

< has the blueprint for that, but < embarked once in a project too big for its bridges and the lockdown ended before <'s primary gameplay loop was finalized, so < couldn't even create a sandbox to further experiment

Now, < is scared at the idea to even open Game Maker Studio and go back into the code.

(< would have to pay the licence anyway)

<'s fairly certain GameMaker is free to use now, you only pay if you make a paid game if memory serves.

Hey, would you look at that : You are correct! Pricing model changed last year. And since < hasn't checked on it since the end of Covid, < wouldn't have noticed.

< is still afraid to look at the code though... :/

Hmm, so ^^’s trans, somehow that does not surprise < in the slightest. Although < says cooties are not a thing.
