I only go for 100% when it's actually a game I have the skill to actually get 100% in. I played through The Simpsons Hit & Run recently and I finished that game with 100%. A few other games in my collection I have finished 100%. I don't think a lot of games are suitable to finish 100%, just because there are some seriously challenging bits. It really depends what your skill sets are on video games and depending on what you're playing. I got like 98% on Crash 3, and I couldn't do the rest to get the 105%.

As much as I'd like to say yes, I picked 'until I get bored', because it's true. There are some games I've tried to aim for a hundred percent on and do, others I've almost gotten there but then just stopped, and there are others which I haven't even finished the main game to, one of those unfortunately being Legends. I'll get back to it at some point. One thing is for sure though, I will always play on the hardest difficulty if available, and I won't lower it, even if lowering it would enable me to keep going enough to get 100% in the end. I have the most fun with incredible challenge, and I feel like I'm cheating if I play on a lower difficulty.

Rayman games, Crash games (except Twinsanity) and such are great example for 100%
For me the one Crash game I don't think I will ever 100% is the first game. I just can't stand the bonus stage and gem system. :(
I managed to complete that game and it was not an easy task. What makes the game difficult is the somehow primitive saving system and how unforgiving is the crate collecting mechanic (if the checkpoint was also recording the ammount of crates caught before, it would be a little easier). Urgh, that Sunset Vista and one of the castle corridors of Cortex :pfff: .

I also do like that. Me for example I completed Super Mario Galaxy 2 at like, 99%? It is only missing the very last green star but after many attempts I gave up. It is too hard for me.

Isn't it possible to get 106% in most Crash games?

In Crash 3, and Wrath of Cortex it is.
Crash Bash is possible to be completed 200%
Can't remember about GBA Crash games but I think it is also possible more than 100%
In rest, no.

Well I only have Crash 3, WOC, Twinsanity and Crash of the Titans anyway.

Let's see… I have, of course, 100%-ed Rayman 1 on multiple occasions. (Technically that's two different games, because I have done both the PC and PS1 versions, of which the former is more challenging.) I have 100%-ed Rayman 2 at least once. However, I don't do it in a normal playthrough, simply because I find it impossible to collect every single one of those lums at the end of the Prison Ship part 2.
Games I have yet to 100% are Rayman Origins (to get to the Land of the Livid Dead) and Half-Life 2 (i.e. finding the last Lambda Cache, just for the sake of it!). I have no intention of 100%-ing any of the other games I own, as much as it pains me to say that.
Therefore, I picked the "worth the effort" option.

Congrats. I guess Mario games are always worth completing 100% :D

One of the easiest games that I 100%ed had to be Super Mario 3D Land. I think I have more trouble with finding secrets in 2D platformers than 3D ones.

Same, but 3D world is REALLY EASY.

Yes, I recently completed Rayman 2 and collected the lums I've missed and broke the remaining cages. It felt so good.

Patience is important or that if you don't know the game well: many lums/cages in a world aren't available because you have to access them from another one, which is very tricky...

I took a lot of time to finish only Crash Bandicoot 2, but my brothers and I had a lot of fun doing so. Right now, I would say that it mainly depends on games for me too, but I'm not a terrific 100% finisher. Especially when you have to look after every stone you are missing in Darksiders II by going back into every dungeon you did. I've finished this game 4 times already if I remember correctly, one of them at the highest level of difficulty without a NG+, but I can't do that, even with help from Internet :/. I could also finish the Mass Effect series or Deus Ex : Human Revolution if I wanted, but it's not my main goal right now

I'm currently playing Rayman Revolution at the moment and I've never completed that game to a very good standard. I think I'm going to give it a go, I'm not sure how hard it will be to find all the lums. I think YouTube will be my best friend once I can't find anymore lums through my own exploration.

Only when the game is worth the effort.

Well, there's only one example of that, and it's not really that tricky! :P
