The argument you were talking about, being told again and again that the One has the best games and the like.

Yeah, it was a pretty fucking stupid argument for the most part. There was also a bit of fanboyism at the end, which seems to be a common thing with gamers around my age. I hate ageist comments, but this one seems to be kind of true. I can understand someone sticking with a certain brand (up until now, I've sort of done that with the PlayStation brand), but I still find it stupid for people to think it is the ONLY decent brand in the market.

I know I'm supposed to be taking a break as of now, but a classmate and I are having a retarded debate about next-gen consoles. I was asked if I had an Xbox One yet, and I replied no; I've never felt a reason to get any of the next-gen consoles, as none of them have a great exclusive library as of yet, and I am planning to just play on PC for a while. I was then told that the Xbox One has a "great" exclusive library, with Dead Rising 3, Call of Duty: Ghosts (also on PC), and Battlefield 4 (also on PC). I replied that two our of the three games he mentioned were also on PC. He replied that I should get the console because of Dead Rising 3. I replied that I don't want to get a $500 console for just one game, as I can play the rest on my gaming PC. He told me again that Dead Rising 3 was enough of a reason to get the console, and that I "shouldn't be afraid of new things." Needless to say, I was shocked at this incredibly dumb statement, and reiterated that I had a gaming PC which could easily handle next-gen, and that I'm not going to pay $560 just for one fucking game. I said that I thought all of the next-gen consoles, the Wii U, Xbox One, and PS4, all sucked at the moment, and I am waiting for a better library of exclusives before I spring on a new console. I said he agreed with me that the PS4 was a "bust" (which I never said), and the Wii U was a "bust" (which I never said), as they don't have any good games (which is fairly untrue if you think about it). I replied that it was unfair to judge the PS4 by the games in the first ONE MONTH of its release, and the Wii U might have a turnaround in the upcoming years, like what happened with the PS3. He didn't really have any coherent argument in reply, and reiterated that the Xbox One has the "best" games.

It seems as though the next-gen of humans is almost as dumb as the next-gen of consoles. What a perfect match!
DR 3 is good but it cannot be main reason to spend more than $500.

Agreed. For now, the Xbox One does seem like the better console, due to its better exclusive library. However, this was also the case in the Xbox 360 versus the PS3, and now the PS3 has an even larger library of exclusives than the 360 does.

Also, I'm a little annoyed at some of Sony's business practices for the PS4. We recently got my cousin a PS4 (as it was the only thing he wanted that we could afford), and we originally went to an official Sony dealer. They were, no joke, going to make us spend money on not just the console, but an additional $120 on two (mediocre) games. :boon: I simply cannot understand what could compel Sony to do this (other than whoring for money), and, needless to say, we ended up buying the console from GameStop, where there wasn't this stupid policy.
