Nice!
I've noticed that RayWiki and the Rayman Fanpage affiliate images are merely Daily Bubble banners, will this be rectified?

Removed that entry. It had nothing to do in the Documentary.

I didn't even know about this. This is terrible news!

Dammit.

Well, to be fair, the current development I've been working on is only seven months old, not four years. I actually started the preliminary stages two and a half years ago, so I'm not entirely sure where the "four" came from. I should have my hard drive back in two weeks' time. After that, I'm putting all of this on a dedicated SSD so I don't run into stupid problems.

Isn't this worth mentioning?
It's a good milestone and I don't want to be forgotten.

March 2012 - 4 days of posts are lost from the servers of RPC.

Don't forget the enormous amount of downtime we've had and will (hopefully not) still have for the next few days...

Yeah, it seems it is not over yet because I can't access RayWiki properly for a couple of days. I believe the 4 days of posts were completely lost too.

As Romano said on the portal:
Romano wrote:Due to data corruption that occurred for unexplained reasons on our new server, Pirate-Community was inaccessible yesterday and the data from the last few days has been lost.
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and assure you that everything is done to understand the problem and prevent it for ever happening again.
This is the first time such a problem has ever happened in almost nine years, and I am extremely sorry for the loss of all your posts and other contributions from the last days. We do have daily backups, unfortunately the database started getting corrupt as soon as we moved it to the new server, and backups of a corrupt database are not of much use, though Romano succeeded in repairing the oldest ones. Pirate-Community was moved to another, more stable, server, which should ensure none of this will happen again. At the moment, we are still looking into the problem and trying to identify its source.

Its ok Hunch, it could have been much more worse.
But I admit that from the 3 years and a half of membership in this community, it was the first I've seen something like this. It felt wierd not being able to access the community in these last days since it has been part of my routine.
All we can do now is to try to go back to normality and discuss the usual stuff.

Can any of the data from the last four backups be salvaged? I know they’re corrupt, but the posts and wiki contributions from the last four days must be stored away in there somewhere. Would it be possible to transfer any of them manually?

I'm looking into it, but even getting our hands on one of those database backups is incredibly complicated, as we have to extract them from server snapshots. I'll let Romano answer your question more precisely.

It must be quite hard, no?
I guess we should try to normalize the stuff.

Well I'm desperately trying to join Romano, but with no success. What I know is that he wasn't able to repair the post-22nd backups, and I'm waiting for him to make them available to me so that I can give it a try myself.

I don't think these backups will give us anything (they are corrupted !).
