Re: The Pirate-Community Documentary
That is very unfortunate, especially considering how much went on in the last five days.
Re: The Pirate-Community Documentary

Re: The Pirate-Community Documentary
While the loss of 4 days' worth of posts sucks an awful lot, the downtime has actually done me a bit of good and it came at the best time I could have done with it what with family issues and all.
Back to the ol' humdrum though I guess?

What’s a ‘frech club’, and who is this ‘Rayray1994’?Danone wrote:April 2012, a new frech club is created, called RPC FM, with Rayray1994 as the boss.

Re: The Pirate-Community Documentary
Each record day should at least be mentioned. If anyone has a suggestion for an entry, please post it here so that a moderator can copy-paste it into the documentary if they deem it worthy!

Surprised none of the mathematicians here pointed out that there's no such thing as a "septagon".Beebop wrote:>>The “love triangle” grows into a “love septagon” as more members are believed to be in love with one another.

Except it's the common Greek/Latin messup, like cosmonaut.
And screw love heptagons, let's consider love n-gons with n going to infinity and be done with problem forever! I guess.

Yes there is, they're both correct and mean the same thing. Nonagon is also correct, they're merely prefixes from Latin instead of the Greek 'hepta' and 'ennea.' It's not a messup. You want to know a real messup? Calling an F# a Gb.PluMGMK wrote:Surprised none of the mathematicians here pointed out that there's no such thing as a "septagon".
Also, I haven't seen you in ages.

Shouldn't both components of a word ideally be in the same language though?RayFan9876 wrote:Yes there is, they're both correct and mean the same thing. Re: The Pirate-Community Documentary
Not necessarily. Almost every English word is compound, deriving from pretty much every other language on the planet. There are lots of words that have two, even three different language bases in them.PluMGMK wrote:Shouldn't both components of a word ideally be in the same language though?
