Not necessarily. Almost every English word is compound, deriving from pretty much every other language on the planet. There are lots of words that have two, even three different language bases in them.
For example? (Not challenging, just curious)

A "2"? Nanorobot. Nano is of Greek origin and Wikipedia says it meant dwarf. Robot is a custom word of Czech origin, stemming from Slavic "robota", meaning (potentially hard and boring) work. No "3s" at hand, though.

In case of Polish, some famous individuals encouraged using source words of same origin whenever possible, but public did not care basically.

Yes there is, they're both correct and mean the same thing. Nonagon is also correct, they're merely prefixes from Latin instead of the Greek 'hepta' and 'ennea.' It's not a messup. You want to know a real messup? Calling an F# a Gb.

Also, I haven't seen you in ages.
It might sound messed up, but calling an F# a Gb is correct when going down a scale that has that note in. If you were going up, however, it would be correct to call it an F#. Same applies to Eb being called a D# and a Db being called a C#, etc.

I'm aware of that, I'm just being cynically stubborn.

Danone, I see you've reduced your ting count to be a Deadman.
I wonder if the Xmas Advent Calender will be on this year, it'd be good to boost myself to Axel.

I even heard that Santa Claus is looking for a potential partnership in the RPC for his gift-giving job. Like... reindeers.

I don't know, we never know if there's an electricity cut in Santa Claus' house in that day due to climaterical issues.

It's a shame that we have so little information about the recent events on the documentary, would anyone be so kind as to start working on it? There's bonus Tings to win here! We need to fill these gaps, so for my part I'm going to start with late 2004. Should bring nice memories. :)

We could talk about the Pusianka debacle, it certainly attracted forum-wide attention.
Then we also have the constant spambotting from a few days back, nothing forum damaging, but certainly an annoyance.
When did RayTunes start having problems?
We could make mention of Robotic Teensie's RaySaves feature, apparently that is supposed to become an official RPC service when the server issues subside.
Also, I don't know if it's noteworthy, but perhaps the Legend's delay should be mentioned, I know a few members weren't very happy as a result of it.

Well that's a good start, anyone feel like finding out the dates of these events so that we can add them to the first post? We should be able to find at least a notorious event per month.

May 2012 (It's been a year since that happened?)
>Member Pusianka opens a thread ranting about the size of user signatures, DesLife swiftly locks the thread.
>A new thread is opened by DesLife, in retaliation to Pusianka's threat of reporting him, the thread quickly turns into mock-fest, with all members siding with DesLife, and Pusianka remaining defiant.

January 2013
>Server issues cause problems with the updating of soundtracks on RayTunes, the issue is yet to be fixed, and Droolpiraat is forced to release archives containing the newly made soundtracks on external websites.

February 2013
>Rayman Legends is no longer Wii U exclusive, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions are announced, at the cost of a considerable delay to September 2013, while some members are glad to be able to obtain the game, others are outraged due to Legend's practical completion.

March 2013
>Haruka opens the Rayman 3 Photo Contest in celebration of the tenth anniversary of Rayman 3, however, the deadline was constantly extended due to lacking participation.

April 2013
>Member RoboticTeensie, opens the RaySaves website, an archive of Rayman save games allowing for quick an convenient access to levels from Rayman 1 and Rayman 3 (as of writing) without worry of having preset scores or achievements in place, it will become an official Rayman Pirate Community affiliate once server issues are fixed.

May 2013
>Spambots continously spam the boards to a considerable amount, moderator Haruka can only delete threads, but not prevent them from constantly creating new ones, members discuss potential ways of inhibiting the spambots, and admin Hunchman801 finally returns and deals with the problem once and for all.
>Haruka decides to change the rules of the photo contest as she cannot judge all the entries received, participants are now only capable of sending one photo per subject, as opposed to the previous ten per subject limit.
> Rayman Legends is announced for PS Vita, alongside the revelation that each platform the game will be released on will have exclusive content, the Vita and Wii U moreso.
