Re: Unseen64 to detail new revelations about Rayman 4!
Amazing stuff!
I’ve also noticed the gargoyle in the first picture look like a demonic version of Globox, so maybe Dark Globox could have been brought back in this game. I also like how the stained glasses are exactly in the spirit of those from Rayman 1’s final part.
By the way, where were they revealed? These pictures are often firstly shared on Twitter and I haven’t seen them this time.

What are those enemies that Rayman defeated? They sound like hoodlums.

Re: Unseen64 to detail new revelations about Rayman 4!
I would like to think that they are made of licorice but I am not confirming this to be true. Also, this environment. It feels a little too shallow on the candy side of things. I like the gameplay and it looks cool but I don't know. I can't wait to see what we find next.Elite Piranha wrote: Tue Feb 15, 2022 4:53 am What are those enemies that Rayman defeated? I like it too; it looks like they were really committed to integrating the universe of the original game into this.Rayman Saturn wrote: Mon Feb 14, 2022 9:10 pm Amazing stuff!

One of our users shared it directly with us, though we have no idea where it came from originally. The whole secrecy around all that leaked content is honestly quite ridiculous, but what can we do? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Rayman Saturn wrote: Mon Feb 14, 2022 9:10 pm By the way, where were they revealed? The video appears to be a "gameplay mockup animation", and whoever made it (as usual, those leaks come with no source or explanation, as if they were meant to be leveraged for engagement) has reused assets from the canceled Rayman 4 along with sounds from existing Rayman games (among other things, probably). That's why they sound like Hoodlums, but all we know is that they are the same enemies that appear in the leaked concept art here and here and that have presumably inspired the appearance of Hunters in the GBA version of RRR.Elite Piranha wrote: Tue Feb 15, 2022 4:53 am What are those enemies that Rayman defeated? It seems quite obvious to me why the sources of the leaks would want to remain anonymous. Taking credit for those things is very dangerous. The last time this happened for a Rayman leak (with the old video from Unseen64), the guy behind it was almost sued by Ubisoft (though in this case that was for attempting to charge people for the video by locking it behind his Patreon, which caused some drama here on RPC).Hunchman801 wrote: Tue Feb 15, 2022 10:26 amwhoever made it (as usual, those leaks come with no source or explanation, as if they were meant to be leveraged for engagement) has reused assets from the canceled Rayman 4 along with sounds from existing Rayman games (among other things, probably)
Among all of the other disgusting stories I've read about Ubisoft, I also remember some of them describing Ubisoft attempting to ruin people's careers through underhanded means, so it's only natural that people would want to avoid that kind of spotlight.
Though then the mystery becomes "why share it at all", which... I don't have an answer to. Though I'm grateful.

I see, thanks for the explanation, everything is more clear now. It's kind of surreal to see this kind of footage surface so many years after the initial development for R4.Hunchman801 wrote: Tue Feb 15, 2022 10:26 amThe video appears to be a "gameplay mockup animation", and whoever made it (as usual, those leaks come with no source or explanation, as if they were meant to be leveraged for engagement) has reused assets from the canceled Rayman 4 along with sounds from existing Rayman games (among other things, probably). Re: Unseen64 to detail new revelations about Rayman 4!
Indeed, I understand why the person at the very origin of the leak would choose to remain anonymous. It's the way the content is handled within the community that I take issue with: it is usually shared on social media with no background whatsoever, in a way that appears designed to leverage engagement for the accounts in question, given all the questions it raises. I want to assume good faith and believe that this is not intentional, but when a picture or a video is posted, it should come with more details on how it was generated and what it actually depicts so as to avoid the confusion we've all witnessed lately.Droolie wrote: Tue Feb 15, 2022 12:19 pm It seems quite obvious to me why the sources of the leaks would want to remain anonymous. As you can read from this description it's a video rendered in a 3D animation software created by a Phoenix Interactive employee as a mockup for what the final game might play like. A target render, basically. How else would you interpret this?An animation (not in-engine) showcasing mock-up gameplay of the Phoenix Interactive version of Rayman 4.

I wasn't referring to this video, Robin always does a great job with the stuff he publishes.Droolie wrote: Fri Feb 18, 2022 10:49 pm As you can read from this description it's a video rendered in a 3D animation software created by a Phoenix Interactive employee as a mockup for what the final game might play like. There was a picture for the Rayman Raving Rabbids prototype that Fancy Father posted about. It apparently from this article.
It's weird that all of the pigs are running and also those Rabbids ships.

Maybe, the picture wasn't actually new. Anyways, did the Rayman 4 have an official logo? Thanks

Thanks, but I'm curios if there's a logo that you know of that says "Rayman 4." Thanks for the attachment, though.

Re: Unseen64 to detail new revelations about Rayman 4!
There was something weird in old versions of Wikipedia articles. On an early version of the Wikipedia article of Rayman Raving Rabbids, there was something that said that Rayman 4 was revealed with a logo.
Here's a link if you want to see: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?ti ... d=28785527
It mentions a logo. That's kind of interesting. I know we can't entirely rely on Wikipedia articles but I remember the trailer existing but no logo. The main reason I brought this up was actually another reason but that reason which wasn't so so don't worry about that specifically. In earlier edits, it didn't include that part about the trailer or the logo. The sad thing is that we might never see the logo if it existed assuming there's an NDA.Rayman 4 was officially announced by Michel Ancel at the 'UbiSoft Gaming Session 2005', after he had finished showing his latest production 'Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie' to the press. It appears that Michel Ancel will be directing the latest episode of the series. A brief trailer was shown, in which Rayman recieves a phone call from UbiSoft whilst he is holidaying, asking him to sign up for his latest adventure. The logo of the game was also shown, but both this and the trailer are currently unavailable.
