A WWII game where you play as a Nazi soldier would be fucking awesome.

We have first-person and third-person games. Why no second-person games (that is, games from the point of view of a character who you do not control)? Although the concept of having one character stare at another for the duration of the game would be difficult to work into the narrative of a typical game, I'm sure it's doable.

That sounds just like third-person but worse I think.

I'd love to play a virtual reality simulation game, that would be great...

Well, technically Super Mario 64 is played from the perspective of a camera carrying Lakitu who follows Mario around filming him. You can actually see him in mirrors which is pretty cool.

Actually spiral, there is a game with a mechanism like that. ;) It's called The Experiment, a 2007 adventure game if I recall. Basically, you have to guide a character through the levels, while you can only interact with her using cameras and various mechanisms like lights or switches. You don't see 'yourself' at all, just a bunch of programs and stuff, like if you were looking at a laptop screen.

Bump, because everyone ( or at least everyone who played Portal ) should know that Portal 2 is to be announced soon. =D
Valve is constantly updating Portal 1 now, hiding ( and how! ) several hints towards Portal 2 in the updates' source files.
They also changed Portal's ending in the most recent update, from this ( at the end of the video ) to this.

They also keep mentioning the number 3.11 in the source files, so I think we can expect the announcement on the 11th this month. :D

EDIT -> Yay, Portal 2 has just been officially announced!

Attention everyone. Sega have officially announced that they're releasing Dreamcast games on PSN and XBLA. The games will be HD, have surround sound, achievements, leaderboards, things like that. No word yet on whether third-party games (Rayman 2) will be given this treatment but let's hope for the best.

Also Portal 2's been delayed till 2011.

Doubt it considering the PS1 version is already on the PSN.

I don't see how that's remotely relevant.

The PS1 version wasn't as good as the others.

I'll definitely download Rayman 2 if it is released.

I hope it will come to live arcade. The iPhone version isn't a satisfying port (can't be bothered to keep trying to get past the precipice as I keep dying with those controls and the lag) and a console port would be welcomed by me.
I also can't see why the PSOne version being on PSN would make it less likely to be put on arcade. It's quite significantly different from the dreamcast version and PSN is sony, arcade is Microsoft...
