I heard there was a demo available? I'll check it out tonight. I buy a lot online, but given the history of the PSN I'd rather keep my card number for myself and buy a prepaid card.

There is a free demo, yes.
That's the problem, the only way I have to get it is by buying a pre-paid card. Even if I had a credit card, I wouldn't adventure myself knowing the hacking attacks.

I think they censored the Ludiv’s ‘Oh my God, what is going on here?’ line.

I also noticed that, it was wierd.
What intrigues me most is the glitchy music in the Heart of the World.

They also edited the first cutscene so it starts at the point where it's panning down, skipping the part where the UbiSoft logo is shown.
They could have easily overlaid the new logo in its place, since the same was done for the Rayman 3 HD logo.
Also of note, the credits still give credit to Groove Armada for Madder, even though the video containing it has been replaced.
It would have been more cool if they put in the original trailer:
But then again, this does reflect upon the more serious nature of the Rayman games of then, and it does have some beta elements as well.
But I think this is the best trailer for any Rayman game ever, seconded by the RO Around The World trailer.

Ever since I first saw that video, I’ve hoped that they would replace the Groove Armada one with it if they ever remade the game. Oh well, maybe next time.

I WAS RIGHT ABOUT TO SAY THAT. Lulz, spiral.
Anyways I got the game, don't be TOO excited like I was you guys.
In the clearleaf forest, with the river with teh little paper boat, the water is a bunch of random colors, other then blue.
And second, yes they removed the "OH MY GAWD!" by the fair.
And at the beggining of the clearleaf forest opening scene, the sky is dark

Random in a Tonic Trouble way, or random in a glitchy way?

Oh man so that's just not on mine yet...
You know, this is the first time I've played a downloadable game that's got me thinking..."they really need to patch this shit right now", GOOD OL' UBI SHANGHAI :3

Shame too really, the PS1 port of R2 that I hear was made by Shangai really did show a lot of effort.

Not sure if they did it to be creative or it's a glitch, you should check it out though.

I’ve started a RayWiki article on Rayman 3 HD. If anyone notices more changes, feel free to add them.
The one thing I've noticed in the video I disapprove of is the glowing of the Hoodmongers' eyes. It's more of a glow now as opposed to a flare like it was before. Before, it had this typical 'star' that light sources emit if you look at them while squinting. It looked cool. But meh, a minor detail to be nitpickity about. I'll see if I can get some money on my Xbox account and then I'll get it right away!

Just finished the demo (you get to play until the Heart of the World included), and the game is pretty neat. It's no big news, but I can confirm this is 720p, not 1080p. By the way, I had never played Rayman 3 on a console before, and I find the controls really terrible: how are you supposed to jump while charging your fist if the two buttons are so damn close to each other?

I noticed they have changed the button mapping, if we compare this to the PS2. I can't give an opinion about the fist throwing, I'm much more using in playing in a keyboard than with a controller.

That's strange, why would they drop support for 1080p? The game originally ran on hardware two generations younger at 40-60 FPS, and these lighting enhancements aren't a big enough performance hit at all to give reason not to use 1080p.
That seems especially ironic when taking into consideration the game's subtitle.

Alright time for my quick review, since I'm halfway through the game. First off, 10 bucks was a good price (though I would have payed 15), but since they have no 1080p, and the music sometimes LAGS, heck even the funkyboard levels LAG at times, jesus, it's a bit unexpecting... Theres nothing we can really do about it so it IS a bit of a dissapointment, though you will find moments in the game where you just want to relax and gaze at the colored water of the clearleaf forest, or look upon the yucky black sky in the opening for the Clearleaf forest.... :p. Although I don't regret buying it what so ever. Not only because of its cheap prices or nostalgic purposes, but because seeing Rayman 3 in non-HD was beautiful enough, and I got at least 80% of what I expected in the graphics for the HD remake of Rayman 3! However lets look upon the game, I would say yes they succeeded in there goal to get Rayman 3 as an HD remake, though there were some MINOR road bumps, and I'm only halfway through the game, I still have yet to find more of these road bumps. And the whole RO artbook thing I thought was cool, even though I now own one, I found it pointless. But this game REALLY looks as if it's trying to promote RO (even though I don't think it is) I really dislike the new logo, not because I hate the origins logo, it just didn't give off the Rayman 3 nostalgic feeling to me, I'm not sure whether they had problems brining the logo to HD, but they could have at least tried something new, maybe expiremented a bit. I already easily unlocked all the bonus games, I have no problems with them. In short: Just don't expect a package full of candy from this game, it's not as amazing as you'd think it be for an HD remake. I GOT SUPER EXCITED when hearing about it! When I played it I simply thought "Good." not "AWESOME!" As moronic as I was I thought it'd be a huge step up, like a totally revamped remake, as much as I felt moronic for seeing those "Rayman 3d" pictures for Rayman 3ds that were fake... However I do reccomend you purchase it, not just for nostalgic purposes, but for the fun of Rayman 3 in good HD!
However..... I'm suprised they didn't censor out the famous line from Murfy "SEE YOU IN RAYMAN 4!"
...Maybe this is a hint that they will be presenting Rayman 4 in the next E3 convention? All those years back people wondered if an R4 was going to be made, but ubi remade Rayman 3 maybe reminding us fans who have played R3 in the past that they have not given up on working on a Rayman 4, even though they never planned on a Rayman 4, but who knows?
In short: Buy this game, good remake (not wonderful or amazing), and have fun trophy hunting.
I rate the game a 8.6/10 after much thought, for remake sakes, if it were for being Rayman 3 itself, that'd be a good 9.7

Well, HD is certainly not what we've been told to believe. I find this game to be disappointing. I noticed a whole lot of differences in just the first world and many of them were no better than the original. The music is laggy, and I take back my statement that the new lighting made everything look better. (beginning of Clearleaf Forest, what the heck, is that a black hole in the sky?)
Other differences I've noticed so far:
1. Rayman grunts twice (at the same time) when he jumps on teensie highways. Also when holding strafe. He uses his voice more often in gameplay/cutscenes, but it doesn't involve dialogue.
2. Murfy's wing flapping noise is twice as annoying than before. Rayman's helicopter noise seems either improved or just laggy.
3. Textures look pixely. This one is the worst by far, simply because this game is supposed to be retouched.
4. Shadows of characters falling through platforms and popping up on the strangest places. They also don't follow the main source of light and always stick right underneath characters, defying all possible logic! (note that this could just be one of my pet peeves. I'm a perfectionist on that kind of thing)
5. Grand Minimus' crown is a see-through now?
Admittedly the light effects (such as collecting gems, and the red lums) have been improved and actually look like they give light. This wasn't the case in the PC version. The best feature by far has to be the subtext, but even that lacks by only translating cutscene text for us. That doesn't bode any good.
Edit: I forgot about the trophies. Yeah, they're a nice feature. I'll try to get them.
Finally, maybe this is just me, but I think it's strange for a game (a HD remake for Christ's sake) to be released in the age of 1080p, and then its max resolution is only 720.
I'm sorry for my rambling. I'm just disappointed about how this turned out. Maybe it's just me who had too much high hopes on this. I'll finish Rayman 3 HD, but only for the sake of sniffing out all the changes. Then it's back to good old PC version for me!

I added 4, 5 and the info about the glowing gems to the Wiki.
I'm still downloading my copy on my perilously slow connection.
Would it be a good idea to replace the current Rayman 3 screenshots with those of the HD version?
