I don't think I've seen them on the wiki before, and I suppose the main Rabbid article is the best place to add them to since they can't be tied to a specific game for sure.

Since they can't be tied to a specific game, can the Artworks from other games category be used?

Sounds like the best choice to me.

I have never really gotten into the Rabbids series, but somehow could not pass an opportunity to purchase the Russian "Premium Games" Rabbids (Бешеные Кролики) collection. The translation is by Buka (who also did Rayman 3), and it includes Rayman Raving Rabbids, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, and Rabbids Go Home. As far as I know, these are the only Rabbids games that were officially ported to the PC, so in that sense it is a complete bundle, and probably the only Rabbids-related package I will ever buy.

It comes in a regular DVD keep-case, with a translucent plastic sleeve and a lenticular printed 3D card, with the same image as on the front of the case:
Image Image

Disc 1 contains the installer, RRR2 and 'Go Home'. Disc 2 seems to be just the original Russian release of RRR, complete with SecuROM and all. :grrr: I dumped the disc using Alcohol 120%, but when I try to run it from the mounted image, SecuROM likes to complain about "Conflict with emulation software". And sometimes, seemingly at random, it does not complain, and launches the game. This is on Windows 10 21H2 x64, not sure if it is related.

I'm going to see later if I can somehow make the DRM-free GOG version work with the Russian resources (GOG version does not include Russian). I still haven't figured out why when two versions of RRR are installed (in separate folders), still only the last one installed runs (no matter which folder you try to start it from). I previous saw this strange behavior with the Hebrew version as well. I guess the launcher (CheckApplication) actually checks some global setting somewhere to determine how to run the main program.

Not sure I understand, are you searching for a Russian localization of RRR?

No, I was saying that I had just bought the Russian localizations of Rayman Raving Rabbids, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2, and Rabbids Go Home. :)

Does someone knows how these images were used? (maybe as a promotional material is social media?). I see there was a Rabbid-Rayman.

Wow, a Rabbid dressed as Rayman? That's refreshing, given that Rayman spent so much time dressed as a Rabbid

I want to say they were used on social media. I know I’ve seen them before. But my memory is failing me.

Yeah so with some quick digging I found that it was used to advertise the Rabbids Merge fan art competition where fans would submit art of the Eabbids crossing over with other franchises. You can see the first use of it I could find here. https://mobile.twitter.com/RabbidsOffic ... TStqMfAAAA

There’s even fascinatingly a Beyond Good and Evil Rabbid. Sadly I can’t find any official use of the full Rayman Rabbid image so far though. Despite some dedicated posts showing off the BG&E, Far Cry, Assassins Creed, and various other crossover art.

Thanks for the info! Maybe Ubisoft comissioned the art, but ended not using all the full versions of the art pieces. I think the Rayman Rabbid image is not in the wiki, I wonder what would be the best place to put it.

Yeah I can’t say I have a great answer for that. I’ve only made like one edit on the wiki ever I think. Maybe you could add it to the gallery on the Rabbids page? Or alternatively you could make a new artworks page dedicated to the promo art for the contest itself I suppose.

Yes, I guess a section for the contest can be added to the Rabbids (series) page, in a similar way than how the Rayman Fan Video Contest was added to the Rayman (series) page. The image of Rayman Rabbid could also be added to the Rayman in popular culture page.

It's still so weird to think of Rabbids as "popular culture" in the context of RayWiki, given how much documentation there is of actual Rabbids games…

What makes me sad is that this contest was about crossovers and apparently a Rabbid dressed as Rayman counts as one despite the Rabbids originating as a spin-off from Rayman in the first place.

Is it sad, or a refreshing reminder that the franchises have separated? :hap:

Why didn't the rabbids do anything when they saw that Rayman was sticking the plungers to the wall in his cell to escape?

Sketches of the Rabbids (00:53), the one for Rayman is pretty funny (haven't checked if all of them are in the wiki already):

I’ve never seen those before always interesting to see anything from the development of the first RRR.
