So it turns out me being a retailer was indeed a mistake and they fixed that. They can't explain how it happened though.

My pledge is complete. It just cost me 30€ more with shipping. Ouch.

€30 more? That's probably because I went for a bigger pledge, but mine cost me €80 more (VAT and delivery), something I must admit I did not expect.

Been a new update on the kickstarter, good news is that the pledge manager is staying open a little longer, the deadline is now April 30th. Bad news is it seems like there might be a delay to the original timeline, if memory serves the original timeline stated that they'd start shipping in June/July. Looking at the update, it seems that the mold development part of the production phase will take 4-5 months, which would therefore finish about August if I'm understanding right.

They haven't given a revised shipping time, but it's looking like we probably won't be seeing shipping until Autumn at this point at the earliest, now?

Hello again!

Spring is tentatively showing its nose and as the snow melts, we have a new update to share with you all.

Development Update

We have now fully completed the French and English versions of the game which have now both been approved by Ubisoft. This means that we are now fully done with the development of the game and will now move on to the production phase.

Production Update

The first major step before entering mass production is the development of the figure molds, which will be crafted by our factory partners. As you can imagine, both we and Ubisoft are committed to delivering figures of the highest quality. To achieve this, we are taking great care to ensure every detail meets our standards.

This stage will take approximately 4–5 months, as we’re dealing with a large number of unique figures. Unlike traditional 3D miniatures, these figures are made from acrylic and include intricate stenciling and color work, making the process more complex and time-consuming. As prototypes are produced, we will review and approve each one individually, and we’ll share photos with you along the way.

On another exciting note, we are currently finalizing a partnership agreement with a well-known board game publisher. This collaboration is aimed at optimizing quality control and ensuring simultaneous production of both backer copies and retail versions. We look forward to sharing more details about this partnership in the coming months.

Pledge Manager Update

Due to the revised production timeline, we’ve decided to extend the Pledge Manager until April 30th. If you missed the campaign, this is your chance to secure your copy of Rayman The Board Game!

If you’re having trouble accessing your pledge or need help with your order, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected] — we’re here to help.

In the meantime, come join our community on Discord, where we’re talking all things FLYOS and Rayman. We’d love to see you there!

Until Next Time

The FLYOS team

EDIT: The comments section to that update has stated the following for the shipping timeline
As of now we are estimating [shipping] late summer/the second half of 2025.
That sounds about Augustish to me, but make of that what you will.

How can I buy Rayman: The Board Game? Is it available in Hungary at all? Can I order it from an international website?

As it stands right now, the game hasn't been released. If there's an option to late pledge, you can do so on Kickstarter, and hopefully when the game releases proper (presently estimated to be about August-September) it'll get shipped to you. Otherwise, I'm afraid you'll have to wait until it reaches retail.

They have an explicit retail tier for folks who intend to sell it:
RETAILER - CA$ 50

THIS PLEDGE LEVEL IS EXCLUSIVELY FOR BRICK AND MORTAR RETAILERS. It serves as a deposit granting access to a side pledge manager featuring discounted rates. Note that the deposit is non-refundable.

Could be change in circumstances, but as far as I know - at least since the Kickstarter went live, they intended to have copies for retailers to sell.

When did you have this conversation out of curiosity? If it's before the Kickstarter went live then maybe at that point they hadn't yet assessed whether it was feasible?

Ahh ok, if it's during the campaign then it could be that they couldn't yet assess potential retail demand while the campaign was running. However since the campaign they've mentioned retail:

As such unless something drastic happens during the production run, I don't see there not being retail copies out there.

New Update:
Hello everyone,

We’re excited to provide you with another update on Rayman’s development and also address some key industry developments currently impacting our project.

You may have heard about recent US tariffs affecting board games imported from China. While our mass production hasn’t begun yet, this situation is already significantly influencing our operational planning. The ongoing political uncertainty poses risks such as potential delays or disruptions, including the possibility of North American shipments being held at ports.

Additionally, our publishing partners have temporarily paused negotiations due to these developments, causing notable disruptions to our projected revenue streams. Given that the US represents the largest board game market, we're proactively exploring alternative and diversified distribution channels to mitigate these impacts. Protecting our team’s employment and ensuring steady progress remain our top priorities. Rest assured, we'll closely monitor the situation, keep you regularly updated, and strive to minimize any potential delays.

Due to recent events, we've slightly delayed the production of figure molds. This process should begin by the end of the month, and we’ll be sharing pictures and updates throughout. We apologize for this delay, but given the substantial investment involved, we want to ensure every detail is carefully reviewed before moving forward.

We also regret to announce that our Community Manager, Billy, has departed from FLYOS. We’re actively seeking a replacement for this crucial role, but please anticipate slightly longer response times during this transition. Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated.

If you encounter any issues accessing your pledge or need assistance with your order, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected]—we’re here to help!

Meanwhile, we'd love for you to join our Discord community, where discussions around FLYOS and Rayman are always ongoing. We look forward to seeing you there!

Until next time,
— The FLYOS Team

Can't say this inspires optimism...
