Good textures can make even the pointiest of models works of art! I didn't realize how low poly Begoniax was, then again I haven't played 3 in decades and never got a good look at the model itself. As a kid I probably didn't care, got too lost in the atmosphere.

And yeah, as kids we don’t really focus on those things, but here’s a good example of fine texture art at work!

Never seen that concept art, that's pretty neat to see the other design ideas. I do notice the lack of polygons, though. Not a lot of lines.

Also I finished Rabbids' story mode and got my file back where it should be. Not sure if I still have it in me to get to Vectorman...I'd probably flunk a late level pretty bad without sleep, and there's no continues...I might still try later anyway.

I actually swear Normal mode is harder than Very Hard. Sure they won't be robbing you of stocks, but sometimes they'll throw a pretty nasty combo out of nowhere. Maybe there's more items spawning too, and more items = more chances of stuff exploding/bomb-ombs.

All this talk of Razoff’s mansion brings me to a debate I often have with my friends. Is Ssssam alive? They often tell me he isn’t due to that wooden trophy of him Razoff has in his estate, but I don’t think Rayman would ever let that happen to one of his friends.

Well Rayman did leave him hanging after the Marshes!

If I remember correctly, it was mentioned Sssssam got captured.

Despite some darker takes on the statues we see in Rayman 3, I'm sure that Rayman's friends Ssssam and Ly must still be alive, and still on the same plane of existence as him. Remember Razoff was full of bluster, so just because he has a statue of something it doesn't mean he really managed to catch it

I remember this too, and also that Space Mama was apparently captured at some point too. But then why wasn’t Space Mama’s wooden statue there?

Space Mama was (supposedly) captured by one of Razoff's ancestors, whereas he's out in the bog living on his own, away from his family. (Supposedly it's a rite of passage for members of that family, but I have my own theories on that… )

That’s a good point, Plum! Even in his animations he’s seen to be a comically bad shot, probably to play into this idea that he’s more egotistical than anything and would fake what he has captured. Good take!

Also Dave, I’ve heard my friends say that he was too, but I could never find it!

i think after some time my brain now tells me that he has just sculpt it lol,like mentioned before he possibly fakes his captures

Yeah, once everyone starts believing something or saying something, it’s hard to see if they’re right or wrong. I think with an obscure series like Rayman, a lot of info is passed by world of mouth as well
