The posts from Brad that you pointed out are to me very obviously made in a joking manner. Maybe it's just that I've had more conversations with Brad and know that that's what he's like but honestly it seems pretty obvious that he's not being seriously hateful.

You can have your opinion, but don't force it upon others, especially if you're in the minority.

Is this to say that the minority can't be right, or that their voices don't deserve to be heard? A large majority isn't always correct just because their influence is larger than the minority.

Maybe later in the near future I'll make a more educated criticism on why I dislike Rayman 1 very much. Forcing your opinion upon others is still forcing your opinion on others regardless of the context. There are better things you can spend your Record Day time doing, that would be less likely others. Intent often matters little if the result is the same. Case in point, I basically understood your reasoning for posting what you did (yesh beebo44), but it was still irritating regardless to someone that had just spent a total of six hours attempting a no death run of the game. It's important to note where you are and when you've gone too far when making jokes that can potentially come across as offensive.

If you want an example of a similar fuckup of mine, in a speedrunner's Twitch chat, I jokingly insulted one of the other runners of the game, which caused the speedrunner I was watching to get annoyed and the person I insulted's feelings to get hurt. In this case, my intent mattered little, since the outcome was still the same as if I had outright insulted him. And a joke that might have been fine in one context wasn't in this case.

Again, depending on how far you go with it, this could've been a nice bit of harmless trolling (note the word "harmless"), but, yeah, you went a bit too far with it.

I was talking about how one should conduct themselves in such as situation to avoid offending others, not implying that one side was necessarily more right than the other. Brad explained why he posted what he posted, and I gave my thoughts on the matter, and explained in further detail my reaction to what he wrote. That can't technically qualify as arguing. Did you read my post?

Beebo44 was outright wrong in what he was telling me off for, which I explained, and then he proceeded to outright make fun of my reaction to Brad's posts. I'd hardly call this "no reason."

If you just leave it here, the argument can stop and we can actually talk about Rayman 1, as the topic is meant to be for.
