I mean they took the PC Anniversary box, but that'll probably be the set of three games assuming it does come out. Ubisoft is apparently doing the quick cash in of just releasing the games in higher resolution and better textures rather than full revamps, so I'm betting Rayman 1 won't be redone if they are going to quickly market the boxset as HD like they did with Prince of Persia.

Since the release of the Rayman Trilogy was timed to coincide with that of Rayman Origins, perhaps it’s also been delayed by three months? We’ll see in March...

Maybe that should give them enough time to make the set actually good, heard from some people that the Prince of Persia trilogy is a glitchfest.

The Splinter Cell Trilogy is happening, although it’s been delayed from the 4th of November 2010 to sometime in 2011.

At this stage it’s clear that the rumour was legitimate. The Rayman Trilogy is most definitely coming.

I read this in a gaming magazine yesterday night before sleeping.

It would be awesome if Rayman 3 made it to the Ps3, but I doubt it will. Rayman 1 and 2 are pretty old Ps1 games, but Rayman 3 is for middle consoles so...I dunno

You know, now that I think of it, this might be Rayman 3D: a collection of Rayman M, 2 and 3, all in stereoscopic 3D, and released on multiple platforms.

I may be wrong, but I don’t think they’d release a collection without using the title to advertise the fact that it’s got multiple games in it. If Rayman 3D did contain all three games, it would be called ‘Rayman Trilogy 3D’, ‘Rayman Collection 3D’ or something like that. ‘Rayman 3D’ sounds like it’s only one game.

Hopefully not. Revolution is inferior to the original.

Inferior in which terms?
I think it is the best version among with the Dreamcast R2.

The game is extremely buggy, the frame rate is poor, the colours somehow manage to look both gaudy and washed-out at the same time, most of the new levels and characters are plain and unimaginative, it has no Hall of Doors, many levels have been split apart and rearranged randomly, and for some reason the developers chose to base it on the N64/PC version rather than incorporating the dozens of subtle improvements made by the Dreamcast team.

Well the Disc was implemented in the game but I find sad the cutscene not appearing here, neither the Globox Village. The game could have better loading screens and exist another ways to achieve the extra powers. The frame also isn't also comparable to the Dreamcast version. In the Dreamcast, Rayman's response time is excellent, smooth and always 60 FPS. What I like most in RR is the interactivity added, the improved longevity, the voice casts, the convertion of 2D elements into 3D, and some character design fixes.
I think if R2 had a mix of RR and DC, plus the extra dialogues of PS1, the game would be perfect.

Grazie.

I suppose we could ask Frisco to try and communicate with him, but that might cause the forum to implode.
