I like the whole 'fighting Ly' thing. It fleshes her out from the spacey yogi we saw in Rayman 2, which can only be a good thing. :mryellow: Though I suppose you'll have to introduce Globox as an old friend, now we've got RO to contend with. :D

As for the title - could be better, but titles are too hard to come up with  so I suggest keep it as a working one. NEVER finalise until the end; if I were to do that with my work, the entire thing would unravel!
In fact, I think it's brilliant as a working title. It sums up the game, which is all that's needed. I often use Latin phrases relating to the inspirations of my projects, keeping the title concise and yet informative. RoTD does the same.

And @Paradox: You really didn't know about the outer-space thing? :( I pity you.

Globox could perhaps be the reason that Ly and Rayman stop fighting.

Also, if you want to be canonical about this, RO will probably ruin any major plot points you have.

ACtually that's a very good idea. Globox doesn't show up til you empty her life bar, and then you stop and you're like "Globox, it's you!" And then he sees you too and then Ly's like "lolwut? Oooooh."

I like this idea. :mryellow:

Unfortunately Paradox is right about RO screwing this up. >.<; We'll just have to wait n see.

Rayman Origins doesn't stand in the way of this idea at all. We know Globox is introduced in Rayman Origins, but we don't have a clue whether Ly, Clark, Murfy and the rest will appear in Rayman Origins ( it might happen, though, we'll just have to see ).

I like the idea, though :)

I personally doubt either Ly or Murfy will make any appearance, save from a cameo here or there. It's a 'buddy game', so the main focus is on the two lovebirds. :mefiant: Still, ROTD is going to be YEARS in the making, so Rayfan has all the time she needs to get Origins continuity right. :D

I too like Paradox's idea - it makes perfect sense.

That's true. I doubt that Ly and Murfy will make any appearance in Rayman Origins as well, but you never know for sure.

And even if they do, changing the story won't be that hard, since no cutscenes and such have been made. The only thing we've seen from this game story-wise is concept art overall.

Ly may be in Rayman Origins. Murfy will not.

As you can see, Murfy mets Rayman (and vice-versa) only on Rayman 2.

Not Murfy, but other Greenbottles.

But that version was a late port, so any changes made to it shouldn't be taken as canon.

Why not? I don’t follow your logic.

He’s wrong anyway. Murfy was never taken prisoner in any version. Those were just regular greenbottles.

I'm saying that if a change to the story is made in a port, minor or significant, it shouldn't be revised in continuity, i.e. Murfy being in Rayman 2.

I know what you’re saying, but I don’t see how you arrived at that conclusion. Do you also think that the backstories provided for the Guardians in R2 PS1 don’t count? Would you have us forget them? How about Mr Dark’s windows shattering in R1 for Saturn? Or the legend told before commencing the game at the Globox Disc? Are you aware that the first three levels of Candy Château as you know them were introduced in a port? Should Globox Village be non-canon too? Should we purge Grolem 13 from our memories and bleach Ninjaws from our brains?
