Is the Classic magician Mr.dark?

Post by Stoney! »

A theory I thought of a few days ago
Could The classic magician be Mr.dark himself? Hmm.
I have evidence to back this up!
1. The magician's feet look similar to mr.Dark's feet, though wear different shoes.
2. The magician never shows his eyes, But the only thing you see of mr.Dark is his eyes
3. If you compare their in-game sprites, you'll see that they're both different sizes (unfortunately I can't find a proper image), though the magician can somehow fit in his hat, maybe he has the ability to change size?
Think of other things that the magician and mr.dark have in common!

Ah, so you can spell! Okedoke.
Anyways, seeing as this has already been a topic for discussion before, I'll be merging this with the original.

EDIT: Actually, though there have been topics regarding the Magician, there's no topic which has this as its subject, as such, I'll let it pass, even if official material has already shown that the Magician isn't Mr. Dark.

I doubt it. The Magician and Mr Dark were both shown at the same time in some of the educational spinoffs, but many people don't regard those as canon.

Also, briefly (For like, a split second) you can see under the Magician's hat in the Rayman 1 intro but there's pretty much nothing there. And I don't think the similar feet would be much indication of a connection. Electoons wear similar shoes too.

No. Both versions of the Magician are the same person, and that person is confirmed to not be Mister Dark, but rather an admirer.

canonically no.in theory maybe :). maybe mr. WAS a shape shifter, and admirer that he was, the magician tried to do the same, and due to being sucky at magic, as forever stuck as a teensie! another thought to add here :D

@Stoney
What is the point of theory if it is already confirmed differently?

Yes but this has bern discussed a lot of times even before I joined. Why not be original? Plus it is confirmed that Magician and Mr. Dark are not same.

Well I did search if there was any topic like this, but all I found were ones about the RO magician and not the R1 magician.

So I guess I tried to be original, but then you kept on complaining about it being false according to official material.
Also this is my first topic I made :/

There was no direct topic named like that but it was mentioned in other topics, also, did you have to double post? Just use "edit" button

Hey, I'm not used to the tools n' stuff of this website, I haven't done a lot.
Just because you know everything doesn't mean I don't. :x
Also I'm not surfing the whole forum just to find 1 post saying "oh yh the migishen cud be mistuh duck, yall."
Besides, I think most people are mistaking me, I mean the magician from the first game (Y'know, The limbless one :fou: )
Not that fanboy from Rayman origins -.-

There is a search bar so no need to surf the whole forum.
Tools n' stuff? It is just one button dude, nothing really complicated.
Also, I don't think anyone mistaken you.
Let me explain:
Classic Magician is the same Magician from RO. He was just redesigned to fit better in game, so if Ales is not Mr. Dark himself but a fan of Mr. Dark, then Classic Magician is not either since Classic Magician is Ales. In other words:

Classic Magician = Ales from RO
Classic Magician =/= Mr. Dark
Ales =/= Mr. Dark
