Plot
RAYMAN follows the story of rayman and globox reading a book they found in the forest that told of a mysterious golden lum that gives anyone invincibility if they hold it! As they look more closely at the book, it is revealed it is deep inside picture city and guarded by a woman called "Space Mama". Will Rayman and globox find the lum and confront this woman or is it all fairytale nonsense?

Michel Ancel and Betty Krusse (IGN reporter)
Betty : So, Michel, how are you?
Michel: Brilliant.
Betty (B) : Awesome, so you invited us to your studio to talk about rayman legends and it's continuation, correct?
Michel (M): Sort of, yes.
B: Right, so rayman, what's next for him?
M: Well, Since the development of Rayman® Origins had finished, we decided we wanted to revert back to the 3D that made rayman's world so beautiful and real. You could use the camera in rayman 2 and rayman 3 to navigate and look around which was great for exploring his world from his point of view.
B: Awesome, so why not stay with 2D? It's not that old.
M: (laughs) Yes, well with UbiArt Framework, we didn't think we could create another rayman game in 2D as the ideas we had for a new game, we couldn't incorporate our ideas properly onto the Framework engine, it didn't seem right in 2D.
B: In other words, you couldn't be bothered to draw anymore? (laughs)
M:[/color] (sighs) (laughs) Well, sort of. We just felt that we wanted to move on from 2D rayman and back to "classic" 3D rayman, back to it's brother's roots and create new 3D environments. If you look at games such as, uh, watch dogs or the assassin's creed titles, they have such depth and detail for 3D games and we thought we'd give it another shot.
B: Let's go back to when you released the Rayman 4 trailer, it had teensies running, beautiful graphics for a game back then, right? (laughs)
M: Yes! It looked beautiful and I wished we had continued that project because, as you just said, for 2006 graphics, that was outstanding but look now, there's videogames that have character's skin make little movements or cough and the sound is so realistic, it's just great what we achieved then and we hope to do it again!
B: Great, so, what is rayman's next adventure?
M: I can officially announcing RAYMAN for current and next generation consoles!
B: So, anymore information on this project?
M: Uh, It is scheduled for release Q4 2015 or early 2016 but we have been working hard for about 2 and a half years now, so I hope everyone is as excited as we (the team) are!
B: Okay, well, thank you so much Michel and we look forward to seeing how this project gets on in the future!
M: Bye.
This sounds incredible! I don't know why space Mama but why not? It would be amazing to see her in 3D!
