I do not expect anything really from this topic, but I wanted a place where we could share poetry if we wanted to. Leave here any poetry of your own, your favourite poetry from others, etc.. I'll leave one I wrote today.
Young girl with bright red hair
Striking pose, empty stare
Light of day
Taken away
Goodbye
A smile, I'm sure,
Bright will flair
Our light of day
Taken away
Goodbye
I never realized how quickly I could reach the top,
But as every car is a burp away from Mars, I was a bubble bound to pop
A mind full of knowledge drains at the core,
a bathtub plug is the stratosphere to stop
and an idea will leak through each pore
you thought i was lazy
But I was just sore
Little did you know
-- that's why I hit the floor
eventually i realized that nature felt the same way (why the trees sway) ...
gasping for breath underneath the bandages of human society and plotting
the day
...it'd shed and slither and flake like a snake, and
pelt you until the last shake of your shiver
