Buyers Remorse Thread

Post by Rayfist »

I feel like this would start for interesting conversation, share things you might regret purchasing. Whether it be videogames, accessories, etc.

Sonic 06, sold it later though but now that Sonic Boom is out, I somehow have strange urge to get both games cheap and do comparison video.

Well as I complained about a few days ago I deeply regret purchasing Worms Ultimate Mayhem on Steam. I haven't had a chance to play it yet but it's basically a HD version of Worms 4 and Worms 3D with a few new things sprinkled in.
Before I bought it I had six Worms games, six being the maximum amount of Worms you could have in one team at any time, and I was going to name my team after my favourite weapon from each game. Now I've ruined it.
Also I regret buying the Surf's Up game, the Polar Express game, the Bomberman DS game, the Cars game, and a whole bunch of others I can't be bothered to list.

I'll buy Boom when it's cheap simply to show how horrible it is.

Hoodie bought that stupid PS3 attachment (you know, the one that looks like a sex toy?) to get Playstation Move, the one with Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, and Sly and Bentley. We haven't played it in years.

I'd like to submit almost my entire Steam library. Bloody Steam sales get me every time, but I can't resist the discounts...

Other than that I've also got plenty of console games that I still haven't played yet but I wouldn't say I regret buying them.. someday I'll get around to playing them (I keep telling myself that)

Edit: I just remembered one. Fucking Splinter Cell Chaos Theory for 3DS, that game is a piece of shit, aren't remakes supposed to be better than the originals?

I don't really regret buying any games, though I realise the Left 4 Dead games have been sitting unplayed in my Steam library for quite some time. Bloody hell, I keep telling myself I'll play things, but I somehow never actually do it!

But I'm wondering if we should have a buyers' remorse thread for things other than games.

I'll change the topic discussion, so it doesn't have to be games. :)

Oh so it doesn't have to be game now? In that case, I regret buying XPERIA Play in past and I am glad I sold it. Seriously, they advertised it as a PlayStation phone preloaded with Crash Bandicoot but they had pathetic PS1 support list and in 2013, they removed them from download list and in 2014, Sony ceased support for it fully. Shit library with very few good games, underpowerd RAM and OS, even earlier iPhones are better than it. Glad I sold it.

Metroid for the 3DS. Granted, I got it for free, but I don't play at all. Now it's just there on my Home Screen, waiting to be played again but knowing it'll never will.

Agreed, NES and SNES games often never age bad, but Metroid is one of the few games that have just aged really poorly, go for Super Metroid instead or any of the GBA games.

Master suggests getting the Prime Trilogy for Wii, so I might get it.

I own the Prime Trilogy, only problem is, expensive as fuck. It's becoming one of the more rare Wii titles.
