Losing touch...?
I know you've all probably had it with my less-than-cheerful attitude around here, but I just want to say some of my thoughts.
Firstly, no, this isn't an "I'm Leaving" topic, because I'm not leaving. I'm just wanting to say a few things about my situation. Okay? Okay. Just wanted to make that clear ahead of time.
Basically, I'm feeling a bit out-of-place here in PC. I know everyone's welcome and it's all one big community where everyone can be themselves, within the rules and all that. That's okay. I'm not complaining about the forum at all. I'm more complaining about myself...
...You see, when I first arrived here, I was as big a Rayman fan as anyone. Rayman was my big game series. But... time goes by... things change... so do people... apparently, I'm no exception. My "big game series" now, is Legend of Zelda. My main fan-character is Ryo, a LoZ character now - Not Bounty Hunter, the Hoodmonger Officer.
You guys all talk about RZ and raising this place up to be the top place on the internet, sometimes about Final Fantasy, sometimes about movies or online videos, and even sometimes MMORPGs. That's fine. I can deal with that. My problem is that I mostly have nothing to say on those subjects. I draw and I write, but apparently on subjects not many people here are very interested in.
I'm just saying that I feel distant is all... a loner, in a sense. I do appreciate those who have commented on my art and my writings - at least the few of you guys like my efforts to fit in. I know for a fact that Hunchman801 is interested and I'm happy with that. Thank you, Hunchman. But as far as saying anything outside of my own topics... I'm rather stuck.
So... I guess this explains my lurking. I occassionally read something here, but I have a hard time finding something to post to. I hope you understand all this.
Well, thanks for listening.

Re: Losing touch...?
I understand what you are saying, Ryo. Don't worry about it. I am sure thier are others here who have the same interests as you do. I like writing and drawing. You should probably make a topic on your interests and you may be surprised!
Re: Losing touch...?
I have my art topic and my two boss-fight descriptions, but no one's replied in long time...
Also, I'm sure people would probably like my writing more if I posted more of it... but most of my ideas are just in my head. Most times, I don't have the patience to write a whole book, even though I have the basic idea for the whole thing. That's my own fault.

Re: Losing touch...?
Try writing some rayman fanfics.
Re: Losing touch...?
I love to draw as well, and after I got a Wii, with Twilight Princess just after Christmas, I really began to like LoZ. It was in fact my first LoZ-game Oo" But if there really was a LoZ-related topic where one could discuss about the Zelda games, I would happily join in! ^.^
Re: Losing touch...?
I would love to get a wii with the new zelda game. I used play zelda on the gamecube and then draw stuff from it!.
Re: Losing touch...?
See, that's my problem. I've not enough hold on the interest on the Rayman subject... The story that I hold in my mind currently is "The Legend of Zelda: Child of the Triforce". It's the story that my character Ryo is in... also my villain, Gravitor. It's a good story for those who like LoZ. But since that's a rare thing in this forum, I don't think anyone would be interested.
I'm afraid I can't get a hold of a Wii, so I'm kinda behind... AGAIN... I'm looking for one, though.

Re: Losing touch...?
I would love to read your story, I'm sure it's good, and I will of course comment on it! =D And Twilight Princess has made me curious about the other Zelda games, what they are like, and what they are about. o.o Therefore a topic where those who are interested, including me, can tell about them games right? ^___^ I want to know more about the other Zelda games, as I know practically nothing at all D:
Re: Losing touch...?
I am a big fan of the zelda series. I would be interested!
Re: Losing touch...?
I haven't even written my whole story yet. Even if I did, it'd be my first drafts... still interested?
Well, I'm rather the expert on the game series, really. I could try that out next time I'm on, then.

Re: Losing touch...?
I look forward to it.
Re: Losing touch...?
Oh, please write it, I would of course love to read it! ^_____^
And it would be great if I could get to know some more about the Zelda games, I know pretty little to tell the truth, the first time I actually played some Zelda game was when I was... less than ten years at least, and that was in some shopping mall when I was on a vacation. I just remember that I ran around randomly, and accidentally ended up in some boss fight! O___o I think I died pretty fast, having no clue of what to do. xP
It would be great to at know some more about the games, yes. ^___^

Re: Losing touch...?
Ocarina of Time is considered the Zelda game, especially for those getting introduced in it. Twilight Princess, I think, is a good one too (though I've not actually played it yet - darn those disappearing Wiis!) as well as Majora's Mask, but there's something about OoT that's just... classic. If you want, I can explain the story, here.
...Actually, it'd be best that I do. My story, "The Legend of Zelda: Child of the Triforce" takes place 2 years after Ocarina of Time, so in order to understand one, you need to know the other...

Re: Losing touch...?
Wasn't Link an adult in the ocarina of time? or am I wrong. He is a kid in windwaker, so does that take place before the events of ocarina of time.
Re: Losing touch...?
A valid question. Let me clear it up for you.
Ocarina of Time came before TWW. I can tell you how this is so. First off, let me explain Ocarina of Time.
In a time before time, three golden goddesses decended from the heavens. Din carved the earth with her flaming arms. Nayru made the law (both moral and physical). Farore created the living beings that would uphold the law. With their work finished, they acended to the heavens, leaving the ancient relic, the Triforce behind. He who touches it shall have his wish granted.
Years and years and years later, evil began to rise in the world. A dark man was sending a curse upon the forest, the mountains, and the Zora Fountain. This dark man's name was Ganondorf. He sought the "Spiritual Stones" in order to claim the Triforce.
In the forest, the Great Deku Tree sent out a fairy, Navi, to be a boy's partner, for his journey of destiny would begin. This boy was Link. Link defeated the monster in the forest, but the Great Deku Tree was sure to die anyway. After this, Link and Navi left the forest to see the "Princess of Destiny". This was Princess Zelda.
Zelda knew that Ganondorf was up to no good, so she wanted to claim the Triforce before he did in order to keep the evil from spreading. Link gathered the stones and found the Master Sword - but the whole plan backfired. With Link opening the way to the Triforce, Ganondorf got to it first and became the supreme king of evil.
Link's body and soul was sealed away in the "Sacred Realm" for seven years. Link then went on a quest to awaken the six sages and fight Ganondorf himself. The result led to Ganondorf being sealed away in the Sacred Realm, the forces of Light triumphing. However, Zelda felt all this was her fault. She was the one who wanted the triforce to begin with and she did not know what shewas getting herself and all others into. So, she sent Link back in time seven years, so he could regain his lost time.
Now... Years and years and years and years later... more than 500 years later... Evil rises again... in the story of The Wind Waker.
Remember that the King of Red Lions was talking about Ganondorf breaking the seal of the sages? Remember the story of the Hero whose garments were of green, thus why Link in TWW had to wear them? All that is referring to Ocarina of Time.
And that's all just a summary. If I went into detail, I'd be making a walkthrough.

Re: Losing touch...?
You know what? I think, that some time after Wind Waker, he travels back in time, thus starting Ocarina of Time.
Re: Losing touch...?
I don'y know to well. In ocarina of time you start as a kid and then you grow up or is majoras mask?, I can't remember. I think that all the time things that happened caused link to be a child in the windwaker. He is the keeper of time after all.
Re: Losing touch...?
No, guys, both are incorrect. There's one thing you have to keep in mind: Link from Ocarina of Time and Link from The Wind Waker are NOT the same Link.
How can I prove this? Let's take it from The Wind Waker to prove my point:
At the beginning, a story is told and that story is of the Ocarina of Time story - how Ganondorf was sealed away by a hero in green clothing. That obviously came first.
Second, Ganondorf broke free from the Sages' Seal. If TWW technically came first, Ganon wouldn't have needed to break any seal.
Third, the Triforce of Courage was given to Link by the Triforce itself in OoT. He was the chosen one by destiny. In TWW, however, the OoT Link has died by then (like... centuries ago) and the Triforce of Courage was in several pieces. These, you needed to collect.
The topography itself is proof - all those islands are actually th mountain tops from the land of the original Hyrule. Hyrule was in OoT.
Tetra, the pirate girl, though also named Zelda, is a decendant from the Zelda in OoT. Whether Link is even related to the Link in OoT or not, is not said.
That's my list of proofs for now, but I may find more later. It is impossible for both to be the same Link. Link in Ocarina of Time was the Hero of Time, due to the seven years of traveling various times, and Link in The Wind Waker was the Hero of Winds - NOT the Hero of Time. In fact, the King of Red Lions mentions the Hero of Time. I'm surprised you missed that.
