Re: Satoru Iwata died...
I just read it. Terrible... another victim of cancer, if I read it right. My father had almost the same type of cancer and like him, he underwent surgery for it and lasted for a while afterwards, but didn't make it in the end. I really hope they find a cure against this soon. Farewell, and rest in peace, Iwata-san.

Nintendo Directs will never be the same without him.
Heck, Nintendo will never be the same.
R.I.P. Iwata, thank you for everything.

Re: Satoru Iwata died...
Really unexpecting and sad news...
I've always ragged on Iwata for leading Nintendo where the company is now, but there's no denying he did his job well and treated his employees very nicely.
I was not expecting to hear news like this today.... Rest in peace.
A moment of appreciation for him, he's done a lot of the background work for one of my favorite videogames: Earthbound. Despite the fact I disliked the direction he brought Nintendo in, he's undoubtedly done some incredible stuff. No doubt.

Holy moly...I was just scrolling through Google News and saw it. I did a double take. At 55 too, really sad. Ninty's not going to be the same without him.
Re: Satoru Iwata died...
Oh my God, this just came up out of nowhere and I was in disbelief for a while. But damn, this is tragic. Even if Iwata has made some bad decisions, he did his best to run the company and even cut his own salary to ensure the success of the 3DS. And to think his final days were filled with hate because of this year's E3, that's just sad to think about. May Iwata rest peacefully.

I think the Iwata hate train was huge and it was disappointing. We can all agree he didn't always make the best decisions, but Nintendo still made it out on top and a lot of that was thanks to him.Bradandez wrote:And to think his final days were filled with hate because of this year's E3, that's just sad to think about.
A channel I follow by the name of Blackb0nd, I respect a lot of his opinions but he made a very 'disrespectful' video saying he hopes this means a better future for Nintendo. I understand we all need to move on and think about the future but things are honestly going way too fast. A moment of silence for a day at least is all we ask.

Horrible news
RIP

I never liked Blackb0nd much but what he said now crossed every line. He just showed how much of an asshole he is. How would he feel if he was sick like Iwata was? Blackb0nd is dead to me.Rayfist wrote:A channel I follow by the name of Blackb0nd, I respect a lot of his opinions but he made a very 'disrespectful' video saying he hopes this means a better future for Nintendo.

Re: Satoru Iwata died...
He did say he gave his condolences to Iwata and his family. Which is good. But literally 40 seconds after he goes into "Now, I hope this means a new era for Nintendo"Oldclassicgamer wrote:I never liked Blackb0nd much but what he said now crossed every line. Talk about taking things way too fast. Video is here.
