I don't use Winzip, but can't you just extract the files? By the way, this is the wrong forum.

I do extract them, but nothing new is extracted. It just extracts the same files over and over again. I can never get the things I want from it.

You can't select the zipped folder you want to have extracted?

If it doesn't work, you can always use 7zip, which extracts from zipped folders as well... or if you have Windows XP or higher, you can just double click on the folder and open it. :|

The problem is hard to explain. I basically can never get any of the files out of a zipped archive.

Winzip sucks. Try 7zip or WinRAR and extract the files easely. However, some zip files downloaded from the internet could be damaged in some way.

Yeah, but if they were damaged, then it'd come up with a warning saying that the zipped folder is corrupted.

Windows ME can open zipped folders itself also. Though not windows 2000.

I am guessing XP can't do that either.

XP can. But Xp has a totally messed up Zip extraction system.
But come on, guys, are you that stupid? WINZIP TOTALLY RULES!!!! WinZIP is the best for ZIP files, and WinRAR the best for RAR files. The fact that WinRAR also supports ZIP files doesn't mean it is better than WInZIP.
You can extract files. Probably you checked the option 'Selected Files/Folders' when extracting the archive. Then you should check the option 'All files/folders in archive' instead. And make sure to check 'Use folder names'.
Or you're extracting hidden files and you don't have the 'Display hidden files' option checked in Windows' folder options.

Anyway, you can just extract files by dragging files and dropping them into the folder you want. But then again, if that is a program, it may not be working alright, because if you do it that way, WinZIP will ignore the folder names. It will work just fine if there is nothing under 'Path' ( in winzip ) though.
