Good ol' Amiga
For some reason, as of late, I've gotten back into my Amiga/Commodore nostalgia. I missed playing Turrican, Shadow of the Beast, and Boulder Dash. It came back when recently, I found a Turrican remake, that Shadow of the Beast might be re-released (please give us Beast 3!), and a remake of Boulder Dash coming to the DS.
Anyone else have memories related to these older computers? It's generally where my gaming roots are set.
Or am I just getting older and I'm surrounded by a bunch of young Rayman fans?

Heh, I remember on our first PC... which was an Acer Windows 3.1 PC. We had this nice old DOS game which I loved called Descent. It is a type of 3D game... I miss the old DOS games.
Really this is the oldest thing we had. Unless you count the NES as a computer. XD

Re: Good ol' Amiga
I honestly wished we had the first Rayman game, it would have ran well on our windows 3.1 PC, and be very fun.
Rayman 3 was my first Rayman game.

Very first, I played Rayman Arena... my brother got that game around 2003... I liked it, I wanted one, we went to the store, they didn't have it, but they had Rayman 3.. so we got that, I enjoyed it well.

Oh yeah, I remember Descent, it was fun until you really far then you realized it was the same thing over and over again.Hoodcom wrote:Heh, I remember on our first PC... which was an Acer Windows 3.1 PC. I actually just picked up one of my games from a while ago that I had for my old G3 imac. It was MDK, a really good third person shooter, I am surprised that it is just barely 10 years old. I think I am gonna go try and find my old sega.

My first PC was a 3.1
We used to do loads of shitty drawings in Paint and play old games on floppies, like this one about a green alien called Cosmo. Then there was this funny game called Xargon where you play a guy who shoots bullets from his chest and he laughs when he dies [not kidding here].
Then I got a Win 95 where we had even crappier games on floppies.
The good ol' days.

And today, many people like I hate floppy disks... XD

Even though I've never played it.
I tried to download it recently, however, after reading a bunch of stuff about it, but apparently the download site no longer works. Which sucks.

LOL Yeah, I had a 3.1 too. My first games on it were games like Math Blaster, Where in Space is Carmen Sandiego?, and Dinosaur Adventure 3D.StaceyW wrote:My first PC was a 3.1We used to do loads of shitty drawings in Paint and play old games on floppies, like this one about a green alien called Cosmo. Re: Good ol' Amiga
I first had a Commodore 64...and I think I still have it lying around somewhere. It had a Ghost Buster game that I always adored. After I got a PC a few years later, I was hooked mainly on Heroes III, Jagged Alliance 2, Jazz the Jackrabbit 2, UFO Enemy Unknown...to this day, I can play these for days and days, without even noticing it.
