Interesting, there has never been a job centered topic.
Do you have a job/career? If so, what is it? Are you trying to get a job/career? If so, what is it?
I myself, want to get my bachelor's degree in game design after I graduate from high school in 2019. There's an university in my state that has just that. It lasts for 29 months if I do it all online compared to a 20 month campus.

Re: Job/Career Topic
I got my first job when I was 12 technically, sealing envelopes. Later, starting around 2013, I got gooder at production and started answering Craigslist ads from University students who needed cheap composers for their film projects, and also produced a few random local bands/artists.
Since the beginning of May I've been working full time doing software development for a home design company looking to up efficiency and innovate in the field of construction, a field where innovation fell into stasis since the recession, making this a fantastic opportunity as the industry has only just recently recovered. I'm designing a program that unifies their database management, financials and sales tools into one very automated workflow, which might actually end up writing tens of long-time employees out of a job (my boss and I laugh about this, but is it funny?). Beta 1 is almost out and I've been working 12 hour days in crunch time these past two weeks, so we'll see what happens - we're looking to sell the software to other companies as well. After beta 1, I'll be bringing in VR with CryEngine as a sales tool for clients wanting to walk around in and customise their own homes.
I mean, seriously: their sales quote management software is running on a Windows 2000 virtual machine, and was built in Microsoft Access. It takes about 30 seconds (this is not an exaggeration) to load tabs, and a whole two to five minutes for it to find and generate individual segments of a quote/solution - this is considered higher-tech in the field.

Re: Job/Career Topic
I graduated in 2014 in the field of biomechanics and due to poor choices in life (as in me aiming for my dream job and shit) I stayed unemployed for two years and had to undergo a job reconversion in 2016. I got a job in IT developpment since September 2016 and I hate every single fucking part of it (but that's okay because I'm fired at the end of the month). Now I'm trying to go back to the field of biomechanics, but that experience destroyed my confidence that I can do any job in engineering, due to the way my job, team and environment was poorly managed.
I dream of a job where I could be creative, when I do videos I feel alive and I'd like to live off of it, but it's just too late for me. I am also interested in opening social association for the education of the less fortunate, a thing I did in my hometown while my parents oculd cover my expenses, but again, there's no money in it.
In short, fuck this job, fuck having a job, fuck me, and fuck you for good measure.

Re: Job/Career Topic
I'm aiming for a career somewhere in political/investigative journalism and column writing, I hugely admire what outlets like The Intercept are doing and would louwve to put my energy into something like that or even set up my own.
I also think I might take to some sort of educative work focused on taking complex issues and trying to break them down in a digestible but still very detailed manner, like it baffles me that if you want to learn about climate change or corporate money that there's seemingly no big organisation that's ever sat down and just tried to explain these things to people interested, even documentaries are often unfocused and if it's climate change they'll just pander to emotions or talk about the political but not scientific aspects.
I also want to get involved with non-profit organisations ala the EFF or Fight For The Future - raising funds and awareness for important issues, etc. These are some of the most directly influential and important people I can think of and what, what better than for RayTunesHD to try and give them their support?
