Share your stories and experiences here!

Post by Aaron »

Today an idea came to my mind to create this topic in which you can share your own funny/interesting stories.

So I'll start with my stories:

This was at Karlovac in Croatia and since it was raining when we got there, we slipped on the road and a guard rail was there and we bumped into it but that guard rail was basically a life saver for us.

Another one was at Rab Island also in Croatia where we went on a boat that would take us to some interesting places where it would stop for some time so you can explore them before it would take you to the next place. But then, heavy rain came along with huge waves and the boat was shaking a lot and it was really scary. And after a while, once I got off the boat I still felt like I was on the boat.

Ah, teenage. I can all recall the decisions I wish I wouldn't have made, and this one in particular. This beautiful autumn Saturday was an opportunity to go for a hike. The weather was fair and sunny with light winds and my hair was flowing as I always refused to go to the hairdresser when I was younger although my parents hated this; my mom was always giving me money with the hope I'd go getting my hair cut, but each time I was getting home with the same hairstyle. This day when I got back home my father got so mad I still had the same hairstyle he took me to the garage, called me an hippie, shaved my hair with his hair clipper and beat the shit out of me with a set of jumper cables.

I have this one I can recall from my Uni days and it was the first time I got a scar. So I was studying alone in my desk and my roommate was playing Assassin's Creed but he seemed to be raging and knowing me and my own helpful nature, I go outside to see what's wrong. Though for some reason my chair was stuck so when I got up, I tripped and my knee hit the metal door of my cuboard and totally took a gash out of my knee, it was seriously painful and all 3 of my roomies ended up stopping what they were doing and tried helping me with this new wound. I mean, it healed eventually, but I got my first permanent scar from it.

It was one of those kinds of experiences that scar you and you can't ever erase them from your mind.

Ouch, that sounds painful. I'm glad that people were supportive and helping to you though! :)

I had an ingrown toenail that was even more painful than jumper cable beatings at one stage. At least the beatings helped take my mind off the pain slightly

But yeah that was really painful and so was the time I stubbed my toe and it turned black

Oh no, that sounds painful too.

Anyway, a little addition to the rules: You can also post your stories continously meaning that if you have recent stories, you can also post those too. This rule was added in order to help keep the thread from dying.

So my mom was dropping a young kid off home for someone, and a few hours later, back in the car, we realized they for some reason, left a pretty bent straw, mostly with the wrapper but I think it was open and I returned it to their brother lol. I am glad I did but it's kind of funny.
