Rayman 3 Missile Command glitch

In one of my many playthroughs of the Missile Command bonus game for Rayman 3 (PC version) I encountered a glitch, where for whatever reason, the Shock Rocket timer expired, and Rayman did not pick it up automatically again; this resulted in me being able to wander freely around the level, and I think I got almost to the end (or maybe even to the very end); of course it's impossible to actually complete the level this way, but it was fun.

It happened exactly once, and I could never reproduce it. Has anyone seen this glitch, or (even better) knows how to trigger it?

Wow, freaky! I've never had that happen. Maybe it's a timing thing. There's a way at the end of SBTC1 of getting power-ups to last infinitely if you do something at a very specific time (can't remember what exactly). DTUCC once used it to Throttle-Copter out of bounds and (eventually) reach the area used for the end-of-level cutscene.

I used to wonder if the beginning of the mini-game would show you the "new power-up" cutscene if you unlocked it before encountering the Shock Rocket in the main campaign. Of course I now know that's impossible anyway, because you can't get enough points. :P

I wonder if a cosmic-ray-induced bitflip could explain this one!

We should petition CERN to investigate! It's gotta be more important than whatever boring crap they do these days. :hinhin:
