I couldn't find a help forum so I apologize if this is in the wrong area.
I can't get the game to open at all. No black screen and crash, nothing, I just click play and nothing happens. Only occasionally does my mouse spin to indicate something's trying to work but fails to.
Running the GOG version on windows 10. Laptop meets graphic requirements and I have DirectX 12 installed.
-I have DirectPlay enabled as advised on other forums.
-Troubleshoot Compatibility did not work. Neither did administrator.
-ubi.ini is missing. So is the ubisoft folder supposed to be located somewhere in LocalAppData's VirturalStores location. I do not know if this is the location I was supposed to find ubi.ini in as well, but one forum said to look there.
-Another issue seems to be that R3_Setup_DX8.exe won't open, even with administrator running. Troubleshooting compatiblity and running under Windows XP service pack did not do anything.
I am attempting to find help on GOG forums and here as I really want to play Rayman 3 after beating Rayman 2 last night, but I obviously can't even get it to run.

Re: Rayman 3 Won't Launch
Okay, know what? This is entirely embarassing to find the fix after posting, but I guess I'll leave a way that may help other people having issues.
What I did was just, go into the folder that holds games on GOG and deleted the Rayman 3 folder. Went to GOG and had it verify the files. Now it works. So uh. Maybe this will help other people having issues on windows 10?

Re: Rayman 3 Won't Launch
It's actually usually just because of the ubi.ini file that this happens. There's a file named DX8_setup.exe I'm the game path iirc, and launching that allows you to change the resolution the game will launch at. The other way is to go to C:\Windows\Ubisoft then edit the ubi.ini manually. Sometimes it ends up in your user appdata folder instead depending on whether you run the game as an admin or not.
With all that said though, I'm glad reinstalling the files solved the issue for you.
