Third edition of the posts in a day record

Hello all and welcome to the third edition of the messages posted in a day record!
This record, as said in the name, consists in posting the most messages possible in a 24 hours row, which implies the participation of all of us. Of course, it's not a spam contest, but a custom here at PC. In 2006, we hit 3021 messages, and in 2007, 5932. The goal is to beat the current record, which won't be easy.
First of all, we have to find a date. If it's impossible to bring everyone together, we'll have to find the best compromise, and I suggest Saturday July 26th from 0h00 AM to 12h00 PM (GMT+1), which must be adjusted depending on your timezone. For instance, it would be from July 25th at 11h00 PM to July 26th at 11h00 PM in the UK. Thank you for your quick answer, especially if there's a problem on the date, and all the more if you plan to blow up the post-o-meter!

Let me remind you that we will try to beat the posts in a day record on Wednesday July 25th, French hour (do not forget to adapt this to your time zone). During those 24 hours, you will earn three times as many Tings as usual by posting, and extra rewards will be given too.

Actually the only days I'm not working in July are from the 21st to the 25th. *rolls over and dies* Except for Sundays of course. I don't work Sundays. Really though, don't mind that too much, Saturday is a short day for me. :B

Hunchman, maybe we should make an earning system for that day. Perhaps 25 Tings for each post plus an additional 1000 Tings if a user posts over 500 messages, for example.

Cool idea! But i'm not sure about the July 26. I'll be gone for a week (canoe sailing), but i'm not sure it's THAT week. Of course, i don't wanna miss this.

i look forward to this though, lots of tings to be earnt. hopefully i'll be able to catch some of the peak activity times. maybe we should nominate a particular time to try and get lots of people on?

i can be on anywhere from early morning until about 2pm. french hour i mean, for me it's significantly later (like, 1:00am )
