Hi all,
As you probably don't know, the Pirate-Community has some problems with disk space on its current server : we don't have enough space to grow up.
That's why we have decided to migrate the PC on a new server, a private server, powerful, fast, and with a larger storage area.
The migration will take place on Monday, 8H A.M. GMT, all the services should be installed on the new server before 11H A.M. GMT.
With this new server, a lot a new features will be available in the future, we'll notice you soon about that.

Thanks for letting us know Romano. I'll probably miss the downtime since I'm at work at this time.

Thanks for the heads up. Do you have an idea on how long the move could take?
I really don't have to worry because this will probably be going on while I am sleeping.

Yeah, me too!
Will PC be inaccessible during the migration? Will the domain name "
https://raymanpc.com/" even exist during the migration?

It may take a few hours, maybe less if we're lucky. We've done many tests to make sure that everything will work, so that we only have to quickly transfer the files and the database. Of course, PC won't be accessible during the migration.
However, changing our server means that PC will have a different IP address, and we'll have to update the DNS servers adresses, which means that it may take up to 24 or 48 hours for the change to propagate internet-wide. We've already done this in the past, and it wasn't that long though. Anyway, this is why a replacement URL will certainly be given so that the downtime doesn't last long.

Data transfer in huge proportions is likely to be a boring job.. Well I suppose you'll try to do it as fast as possible which atleast prevents sleep lol..

Especially database transfer, fortunately we can use a SSH client as a Linux command shell to directly execute tasks on the new MySQL server, without having to use an interface like phpMyAdmin, which is a pain when it comes to huge backups.

Apparently, everything is working, but if you see anything wrong, please tell us

After all, it's our fourth hoster, we're getting used to data transfer
