Rayman is dead

Post by Lol Kuit »

Hello fellow Rayman fans!

A few days ago I saw that there's ANOTHER Rabbid game coming out: Rabbids Go Home. I read the description briefly and I thought: why waste your time on this crap? Isen't it time to make Rayman 4?. A few minutes later I realised for the first time that Rayman is simply dead.

Rayman has always been one of my favourite videogame characters and in my opinion the best line of games in the platormer catagory. Until Nintendo came with the Wii in 2006. Ubisoft was already making plans for a great Rayman platformer once Rayman 2 was released. It was supposed to be Rayman 4. When Ubisoft heard the news about the Nintendo Wii and the great things (the irony acutally stuns me) it can do, they started to think about the advantages of the Wii Remote. The only problem is that this way of controlling doesen't actually fit in a platformer game. So they dropped the plans about Rayman 4 and made Rayman Raving Rabbids, which was just a bunch of minigames. And you know what the worst part about it is? It was actually selling (and it still does today).

So Ubisoft thought: "Wow! Thats an easy way to make money! Let's just quickly make another one, call it Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 and throw it into the stores! GREAT!". The same thing happened when Raving Rabbids TV Party came out. And from this point Rayman was only smashed into the background. It's all about the Rabbids now, leaving Rayman in the dark.

And its still happening today. I saw some trailers about Rabbids Go Home. I think it's FUCKING GAY! I mean, they must be really out of ideas to come up with a fourth Rabbid game.

The Wii ruined the game industry once it was released, so Rayman is ruined with it. It's all about the Wii these days. And I don't even know why that piece of shit sells so well. I mean, the whole concept isen't even original. Is it so populair because you can control things on a screen with a remote? In that case I'd prefer the Apple Remote.

So, that's basically how I think about it. I'm giving up all hopes about Rayman 4. It's not coming out in 2010, it's not coming out in 2012 and it's certainly not coming out now.

But I'm glad that we still have the older Rayman games. JUst enjoy the fucking games, and have great day :)

You've summed up my feelings quite concisely.

Bitch bitch moan moan whine whine

edit: OK I'm calmer. If you want to keep whining about Rabbids games, you're very welcome to do it in the Rabbids Go Home or the Rayman Raving Rabbids thread. Just don't expect me to listen to it.
