R2 – Secret dedications

Post by spiraldoor »

This is very cool. While watching the credits of the N64 version of R2, try pressing A and B simultaneously. The screen sparkles, and the credits change into this:

I particularly like the references to Konami and Miyamoto, as well as the MSX part. Also, mo5.com appears to be a French software preservation site (and it's still up; check it out). A couple of the names in these dedications sound vaguely familiar to me (Sophie and Xav, or instance), and I think I may have seen them in the normal credits for some other Rayman games. Note: I've cleaned up the capitalisation and formatting to make the whole thing a bit more coherent, but I've preserved the messages as much as possible. And here is a screenshot:

Pfft, no shit.

Didn't they mention Konami, Nintendo etc in the Rayman 1 Jaguar dedications? Cool find nonetheless.

And then in the Woods Of light if you jump on top of the waterfall at the beginning you find a Portal Gun.
