Project Prometheus (Game)

Post by Phoenixan »

Some of you have followed my Fire Under Siege topic, so I figured it'd be worthy to mention a short game I've been working on for Yoyogames' Competition05 for the past month or so.

You can play it on Yoyogames' site here:
http://www.yoyogames.com/games/121876-p ... prometheus

You don't have to use the plug-in if you don't want to, by the way. There's a download option for the executable (also noted as "play offline").

Also, keep in mind that I've been slightly rushed, so it might be a little bit buggy in places. :oops2:

I really like the atmosphere (kinda Resident Evil-like) but I'm stuck in the bathroom :|

I got stuck in the room where you have to jump over a fire (I couldn't get through the exit at the end). I too liked the atmosphere...

I found the bathroom easy. Think 'Metroid' and you're out.

Lol I guess this game is a little glitchy, then, because shooting the vent didn't work for me initially.

Alright. : ) lol That's strange though, because it actually always works on the first shot for me.

Haha. :P

I'm uploading a newer version now (v 1.0.0.2). It fixes the vent by increasing its hit box and making the bullet create further into the character (this means if you shoot at an object near to you, a line will show inside your arm, but I figured that wasn't a big deal). Also, thanks to Droolie and his review, I turned down the beep noise just a little and fixed the "looping room."

*edit*

Oh, one important thing.. If you download the new version, your save game won't work anymore.

Is anything supposed to happen in that room?

It was really good, if I were you I would seriously consider making a whole game (with a nice scenario) out of it. The only thing I can say is that it wasn't very original, even the enemies reminded me of RE xD
