Is anyone finding school/PC to be a hard combo?

How many people here are having trouble finding time to go on RPC during the start of this new school year? I sure am.

This week I've been on a lot, but that's cos I've got fluuuu~ :(
School weeks are impossible. Holidays, too, are impossible for the main part. We're getting set on average about 9 essays a week (in addition to general revision for tests, CAS duties and other pieces of homework), and I'm NOT a quick writer by any means, so PC has to take a back seat. Not to mention the Art. Good God, the amount of stuff I'm doing for thaaaaaaaat... :ouin:

... and OMG it's Bonfire Night. :boon:

The middle option describes my situation perfectly, I think I'll take that. It doesn't matter though, this place is more than active enough and doesn't need my help anymore. :P

I've never really understood how it's possible to have no recreational time because of school work. Most students get around eight hours to spare every day (excluding mornings), and I don't understand how all of that time could be spent dealing with homework. Whenever I ask a friend out and they decline my offer with an excuse like "I have too much work" I feel very annoyed.

Of course I'm not saying people here should visit RPC every day by default, but within this example, how long does it take to log on to a website and browse a few posts? I just don't understand how people can prioritise school work over virtually all leisure activities.

No one's suggesting that schoolwork isn't working with a social life - it's just that logging on and browsin' while you're working isn't always a good idea, and a lot of people like to focus on getting out and enjoying their (relatively rare) freedom rather than typing away on their phone. Not to mention that some people only have brick phones
I don't know anyone who gets 8 hours free a day, btw... though I sure envy them.

I have the opposite problem : I have trouble finding time to do my homework, I spend most of my time here.

I was assuming students get home at 15:30 and go to bed at 23:30, though I know this differs from person to person depending on travelling distance and the time they go to bed. It doesn't seem that unreasonable, though.

Aaahh, I see what you're saying... that does seem reasonable, though I would argue more for 6 hours at the most. I can do 3 good essays in that time, but one after another, all in a row? That's suicide, surely... or perhaps I'm just lazy. :|

My time on here hasn't differed when I came on here, I have an allocated time for PC, and it shall stay that way, at least until I go to uni (hopefully) next year.

I don’t spend much time studying or socialising. The internet has too much interesting stuff on it to allow for those things.

Hmm have you considered that they just dont like you?

Anyway, as for the topic question, I find that while I have the time to visit this site at school, I'd just plain rather go out and have fun with friends tbh

Per essay? Aieee, not really sure, but they like about 5 sides of A4... what's that, about 3,000 words? So not too bad, but 9 of them is quite a stretch.

Failed some exams so a couple of subjects fell out for me. XP Altogether though, second year of university is proving to be simpler than the first, so far. That translations MA seems further away with every day nonetheless. XDD

If that's what you're referring to. I'm awful at interpreting somewhat ambiguous statements like that. :fou:
