Rayman 1 Competition

Post by RaymanPS1 »

Quick update: DOWNLOAD LINK: http://www.emuparadise.me/Sony_Playstat ... U%5D/37445
IMPORTANT QUESTION: Does your emulator works? What programs are you using guys? How are you going to record? Which category do you guys join?

I, RaymanPS1 are trying to get a Rayman 1 for PS1 competition between us who want to. As most of us here on this forum are hardcore Rayman players, it would be really fun to see who is the best of us. There will be one category where you can try to be the fastest Rayman-player and another one where you can be the one who is finishing the game with most lives. My plan is that we can put the submitted vids onto YouTube and see ourselves side by side. But anyways guys, here we can disguss how the competition should be. Are anyone with me? Please leave a message. :D
It is a free choice wheter you want to have commentary or not. To contact me: PM me on this chat or visit my YouTube-account: http://www.youtube.com/user/RaymanPS1

2. With most lives.
3. Complete Rayman DSi with most lives.

Well, Rayman DSi and Rayman Advance are in fact much easier than the original PS1 version. But we can have a category for that aswell. But can somebody help get a emulator with Rayman 1 for PS1 working? And it's important that you leave a message if you want to join the competition.

So you'll ever do a competition?

I don't know if my current walkthrough counts.

If you guys are up for the challange there sure will be Haruka. But your current walkthrough may counts if you want. So which of the categories do you join?

Leave a message here if you get it to work.

If you can beat R1 in 20 minutes, then wow. Otherwise I can't see anyone doing 1 record playthrough, most uploading services limit video size unless you pay or something.

I understand you. Therefore I have decided that you can play a level at the time minimum. Example: Pink Plant Woods

So you, Haruka are joining category number. 1: Fastest completion, level by level? Just asking. If you are, then you can start it as soon as possible for you. I know you are busy with the playtrough too.

Then you can record the Advance version. Speed Run or with most life?

Okay, you can choose yourself. It is ok if it has bad quality.

I've never had too many good experiences with hypercam, but recording with something as simple as dos and gba it shouldnt be that tricky.
