Do you have arts I can look at?
--------------
Actually got around to working on a ton of the concepts/design document of a few projects in planning today. Didn't get to sing still because I feel so bad >____>. I actually have someone who wanted to do the edits/finalizations of one of my future platformer's scripts! *happy*
So I'll tell a little bit about that future project ^^
KomMma will be a short platform game with multiple endings. It's based loosely around the mood and style of two games: Yume Nikki and Silhouette Mirage. However, I plan to animate the game using puppetry-type animations instead of pixel people, to give it a more stylized surrealistic look and fluid animations. Its genre is general and morbid comedy and horror. The game's mechanics are more like a 'horror action' game than high-speed chases and whatnot, but there will be some heart pounding scenarios you'll face.
- Storyline -
After an accident while attending a football game, Yuu Gato is ripped from the reality making up his normal existence and plunged into a deep coma, where his consciousness twists into a nightmarish realm. It is in his own darkness that he meets mysterious helper and keeper of time, Modra, who aids him in his every endeavor to awaken.
- Characters -
1. Yuu Gato
* Age: 17
* Sex: Male
* History: The main hero of the game. Yuu is an average High School student who loves to go out with his friends to school outings. Although he’s a bit compassionate, he has a temperament that allows his mood to change at the drop of a pen, though these moods don’t go to severe extremes. He’s not a particularly bright person, but of average intelligence, and has no clue about what he wants to do in life.
2. Modra
* Age: ???
* Sex: Female
* History: This strange and mysterious woman approaches Yuu in the twisted realm of unconsciousness as a guide. Though she appears to want to aid Yuu, her actions sometimes seem to state otherwise, causing Yuu to be a bit skeptical of her character. Despite this, Modra is persistent in the journey, keeping her weird nature unveiled throughout. She seems to have a connection to the element of time, though her true intentions aren‘t clear.
3. Krev
* Age: ??? Appears to be the same age as Yuu
* Sex: Male
* History: A strange boy that looks so similar to Yuu in appearance that it is frightening. Krev has a play-it-cool attitude with a hint of flare. He can come off as vain or arrogant and has a witty, sharp tongue that doesn’t hide dry sarcasm. Krev is constantly messing with Yuu in a playful manner, and often gets Yuu into trouble, however, he vows that he will do almost anything to help Yuu prevail in his quest.
- Gameplay -
* Clock Face: The Clock Face acts as a sort of HUB for the set of worlds the player must venture in order to proceed in the game. There are 12 Doors of Time, each represented by the number displayed on the clock. Not all worlds will be available from the beginning, nor does every world have to be fully explored in order to obtain the main objective on the game. Every time a world is cleared or explored, the player may return to Clock Face and enter another world at a different hour.
* Doors of Time: There are 12 Doors of Time that a player can explore by choosing the door of the corresponding number that they choose. Each Door Of Time contains fragments of Yuu’s memories and pieces of himself (called Soul Shards) in order to make himself whole once more. Not every piece must be obtained in order to win the game, but to complete the game 100% every Door of Time must be fully explored and cleared of items and enemies. Each of the 12 doors contain a new world with twisted realities from Yuu’s consciousness. In order to advance further in some doors, an item from another door must have been obtained.
* Soul Shards - Throughout the game, one main objective is to collect items called Soul Shards, which are in essence, bits and pieces of Yuu’s memories and consciousness that were scattered upon the impact that rendered him into a coma. As the player travels through the game, they will encounter many instances in order to gain a Soul Shard. These pieces are essential for gameplay, though not every shard must be obtained in order to win.

You can listen to the sketch of the main theme here:

The final version may come down a few keys for a woman's vocal since I can't seem to find a guy who wants to sing the theme yet. The final composition will be composed by Nightmare Nadia and Mastered by.....I have no clue, we'll find someone. Original composition written by Burstknuckle using basic FL Studio presets and instruments.
Lyrics (written by me):
A line pulses there like a bloated vein
Within the dark
Intermittently
Here the light shamelessly recedes
Leading this heart into a seamless chasm of memory
Thin line
Drawn across in rhythm of time
One hand placed forward
Surely
Boldly surging with power
A timeline that can run forward or back
This is the key to life, awakening
Open these dead eyes
Seer through raging lies
Let them pierce through the pseudo void
(To see once more...to life's core)
Fear and pain to die
Polar feelings rise
Horizon spinning into view
Violently calling
And to top it off, a few spoilers for some of the game secrets and some of the endings. Don't read below this if you want to remain unspoiled. ^^;;
- Krev (the one who looks similar to Yuu), is actually Yuu's stillborn twin brother. His consciousness was trapped inside of Yuu through unknown means (and we probably won't explore that) ever since. He's the one who created a living world out of Yuu's thoughts and memories as his home, but he mostly resides in a hollow space called Dead Sleep World, the place of his origin after his body's original death.
During the entire game, Krev's goal is to overtake Yuu's body to have a life in the living world. Every one of his actions (although not revealed until the end) lead up to this although he appears to be a neutral, somewhat benevolent at times, character throughout most of the game. When Yuu and Modra find out his true goal is when we understand that Krev is the ultimate villain of the game. Yuu will have a showdown of total epickly proportions with Krev as the final boss~
Because Krev is using Yuu's fears and weaknesses against him, he appears to have total mastery over the coma world inside of Yuu's head. This means the final battle will probably pit all of Yuu's fears against him, so the boss might be a multiple-staged fight. Yuu will have to attack a grotesque looking fetus-shaped entity that never moves in between whatever else the bosses do. This fetus is the actual form of Krev, his lifeblood.
- Modra is actually the manifestation of a nurse taking care of Yuu during his hospital stay. As he hears her voice talking to him, Modra is created as the thoughts and perceptions of the girl. Because he isn't fully awake, her personality is quite muted in his vision of her, making Modra very mysterious and odd. He suspects she is a malicious character even though she tries to help him.
In the coma world, Modra is the key keeper that helps Yuu unlock his memories as worlds on a clock face. She also seems to have a little bit of control over time, and gives Yuu some time-altering abilities during the game, such as slowing down enemy reactions (stopping/slowing time briefly) so Yuu can get a few hits in or escape more easily.
- The game actually has multiple endings and a bonus ending. This is a direct result of 'level completion' and certain events/orders of events the player takes part in. Not all worlds have to be conquered in order to beat the game. To unlock the secret ending, all previous endings must be present on the save file, a new game continued, and the game beaten with %100 completion on the last round. Then the player can choose an extra option in the game that will trigger the final 'true ending' to play when the last boss is defeated.
Ending 1 : ** Awakening **
Perquisites:
+ Game can be beaten at base %.
+ Modra dies (based on player choice/player event/player boss fight status).
+ Defeat Krev in his domain.
The Dead Sleep world starts to crumble as Krev painfully fades from existence as he gives his last shot at destroying Yuu by making the world crash down on them, explaining that all he wanted was "to live". Yuu escapes Dead Sleep world just as it crumbles and is erased from his mind completely. Yuu awakens to a hospital room full of family who cheer his waking. Yuu doesn't seem happy however... He thinks about Krev and the will to live......wondering if he's done the right thing.
He also thinks of the key keeper and her humble sacrifice. As he starts to mourn Modra, the nurse walks in, and Yuu makes the immediate connection to her. He smiles and she also smiles, somewhat knowingly.
Ending 2: ** Bonds of Friendship **
Prerequisites:
+ Certain game worlds must be explored and events unlocked.
+ Modra lives due to the unlocked events.
+ Defeat Krev in his domain.
The Dead Sleep World starts to crumble and Krev does his best to destroy Yuu and Modra as they speed for the exit. After escaping, the two notice that the world, although not under Krev's control, is still plagued by Yuu's insecurities and fears which have made the world dangerous. Modra shakes her head, stating that there is no more time and that Yuu should use the last of his soul shards to awaken himself. They notice an injured Krev who is fading. Yuu makes the decision to give Krev the last soul shard so that Krev can still remain in existence.
Krev is shocked. He tells Yuu now that he may never awaken. Yuu says that it doesn't matter anymore. Compassion can go a long way. Yuu takes Modra's hand, who smiles at him. Yuu explains that he likes life here, far from the ordinary, and that he will remain here instead. Reluctantly, Krev agrees to form a bond of friendship with the two, apologizing for the trouble. The three live on in harmony within Yuu's mind although the world is filled with many dangers...as long as they have each other.
Ending 3: ** Consequence **
Prerequisites:
+ The game is beat at base percentage.
+ Modra dies.
+ Krev defeats Yuu.
Yuu is defeated at the hands of Krev. Krev, using the shards from Yuu, is reborn into Yuu's body. Yuu curses him as he fills his conscious, leaving him behind in the world alone.
Yuu sits beside the large clock face, mourning Modra, when he notices the key she always wore. The key to unlock memories. Yuu picks up the key and smiles through his tears. The key speaks to Yuu, calling him the new keeper of the key. Yuu undergoes a transformation into the new Key Keeper.
Yuu is shown guarding the Clockface with the new key he's been bestowed, along with the friends he made in the world of his mind during the adventure. He spend the rest of his existence exploring his and Krev's memories and thoughts.
Ending 4: ** Love Eternal **
+ Certain game worlds must be explored and events unlocked.
+ Modra lives due to the unlocked events.
+ Krev defeats Yuu (the player must choose to rescue Modra)
Modra is trapped by Krev and Yuu turns his attention away from Krev, who is using the soul shards he's stolen to resurrect himself as the owner of Yuu's body. Modra pleads with Yuu to just save himself and the shards, but Yuu refusing, using all of his strength to free Modra. The two hurridly escape as Krev passes into the world of the living with an echoing laughter.
Once outside, Modra begins to cry, saying that Yuu made the ultimate sacrifice to save her. Yuu explains that "it was all worth it", and kisses Modra. The shackles of magick begin to crack as the key releases Modra from her mysterious spiritual form into a more fleshly appearance. The key falls to the ground.
Modra is stunned at being freed from her role, but Yuu says that it didn't fit her anyway and now that Krev is gone, they key isn't really needed. He also explains that as long as he has her, he'd be happy to live in ANY world. Modra is ecstatic and motions for Yuu to come with her to visit her special place, now that she has the freedom to go anywhere. Yuu agrees, but hesitates. he picks up the key and pockets it....After a brief moment, he looks up into the non-existent sky and says "Good luck brother." Before following Modra.
At the ending scenes as the credits scroll, Krev (as Yuu) is shown having to put up with Yuu's annoying friend and life in a series of comical pictures.
